Richard Peck has...

Richard Peck has got to be the funniest author there is! He has written "A Long Way From Chicago," "A Year Down Yonder," "The Teacher's Funeral," "Fair Weather" and quite a few more. For those of you who haven't read his books, I'd really suggest you start out with "A Long Way From Chicago," which is a funny, wonderful book about two siblings sent down to stay with their grandmother each summer for nine years of the Great Depression--but things aren't quite as sleepy as they seem down there....

A Long way from Chicago, A Year Down Yonder, The Teacher's Funeral (LOL) and one about a librarian that i can't remember the title of, even though I've read it like 4 times. Hmm. . ..

I read A Year Down Yonder and liked it. Haven't read any of his other stuff, though.

You should definitely look for more of his works. He's hilarious! Also, if you like him, I think you'll really like Christopher Paul Curtis's "Bud, not Buddy!"

I've read Fair Weather and The River Between Us. They're pretty good.
