Chatterbox: Blab About Books

A Mango-Shaped Space
Imagine this: a...

Imagine this: a thread. On Blab About Books. NOT about Twilight, Harry Potter, OR Warriors! *is shocked* Anyway, down to business. I got this book at the bookstore yesterday and I am really enjoying it. It's about a girl named Mia who was synesthia. (hey, that rhymes!) It's really interesting. I like it because I'm synesthetic also. Have any of you read it?

*jaw drop* Coincidence! For the book club I'm in, that is the next book we have to read. I haven't gotten it from the library yet, but it sounded good. Synesthesia is the condition where everything has a color, right?

Well, sort of. It can also be that sounds have tastes, tastes have colors, music has shape, months are people, the days of the week are colors... so on and so forth. I have it with letters being colored, months being people, and the days of the week being colors. I don't know if I have it with numbers...maybe I do. I just don't like numbers as much as letters and try to avoid them whenever possible...hehee...

*is also (happily) shocked about a non Twilight/HP/Warriors thread* I read this book! When my siblings and I were bored over Christmas vacation we decided to go to the secondhand bookstore, and I randomly picked this book off the shelf. It looked good, so I bought it. It was really informative and interesting at the same time! :)

i think its cool to have synestesia, and i wish i had it, eventhough i would flunk all my math tests...and not be able to learn different languages...and get headaches in noisey places...but i guess it would be worth it, and usefull too!!! does anyone have synestesia for tasting, too?

Do you think someone can techincally be synesthetic if they don't see colors in the air, like Mia does?

I cried. It's normal when someone dies. One wierd thing was that I was the only one who cried when Johnny or Dally died in the Outsiders, annother good book. They were amazed that I was crying. I also was one of 2 crying in second grade when something happened in a movie. *sigh* They're a heartless group, my class...tee hee...sorry. No offense!
