Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Tea Room
...

This is the official tea room where you can talk about books. Use correct grammar and spell words correctly. You may order food and tea, so please, enjoy. I say, Susan, the Harry Potter series is really good! Oh, waiter, could I get some mint tea? Oh, wait, make that two mint teas!

Ahhh... wonderful sancutary at last.... Thank you, Olivia for making this marvelous room. I am currently situated (spelling?) on one chair by the fireplace, which, due to it's magical properties, it currently a cold blue to cool me down after the hot sun. Anybody else like The Sea of Trolls, or it's sequel, The Land of Silver apples?

Yes, thank you, Olivia, for making this.

Thank you, Pirocks. Didn't you make the tea room in the "Down to Earth"?

What's a tea room? (Sorry for disrupting the peace with blunt questions.)

A tea room is where you have tea and desserts. I'll be a server. Would anyone like some literary treats? Such as rigamaroles, metaphores, similies, or purple prose? The purple prose chef went a little overboard on the description icing, and if you have too many metaphores, you may feel sick. While on the topic, has anyone else seen some bad metaphores/similies recently? Here's one that cracks me up:

John and Sue had never met. They were like two humming birds who had never met.

WHAT IS PURPLE PROSE!?!*hides because she has just interrupted a perfectly normal tea party with her insane shouting.* Sorry, but everyone is talking about it and I'm just like "what is going on here???" So, could you pleeeease explain to me. * smiles angelically*Innocent

Ah... Perhaps I could have a glass of pink lemonade? Thank you. Now, has anyone heard of The Tower of Geburah or Anthropos?

Ah, Pirocks, The Sea of Trolls is a lovely book. I disliked the sequel, because I thought it tore apart everything the first book worked for. They should have just had it stand alone. Another crumpet, please?

Ah, yes. Wonderful places, tea rooms, no? Yes, I was sad to see the last one die away into oblivion....

I have read both "The Sea of Trolls" and "The Land of Silver Apples." I agree with Reuben: the first book was great, and I didn't even know that there was a sequel. When I saw that there was, I got all excited...but it turned out it was all for nothing, since I didn't really like the second one....

The Land Of Silver Apples was a little confusing, but I liked it anyway. :D

Accidentally, I read Land of the Silver Apples first and then, The Sea of Trolls. Actually, I liked the second one better than the first even though I was rather confused about the characters.

I agree that the Harry Potter series is wonderful. Has anyone else read The Giver? Inkheart? Anything by Tamora Pierce?

I will not be ordering any tea today. I might like some food, but I don't know what is available. Is there a menu?

Ima, all those books are splendid! I love the Aly and Daine series best by her!  Inkheart is also fantabulous, and I thing I read the giver long ago...

Anyone read Wildwood Dancing? Oh, its amazing, this book. I think I'll make a post...!

Some english muffins with marmalade would be lovely, thanks.

It's funny, everyone keeps saying "Ah".  :D

(I'll do it too, just to keep up the tradition)

Ah, thank you Olivia.  It's always nice to read in a calm quiet place.

Has anyone read Colibri?  I just finished it, and it was very good.  :D

Could I have a lemon bar and a glass of water?
