I have to say The Thief Lord is best written, but I also really like them all. TL isn't my favorite, per se...

I don't particularly like Cornelia Funke's writing style. It just didn't appeal to me. Her plots are interesting and her characters aren't half bad, but I didn't find the way she wrote too inviting.

Which books did you read, Mary? I read Dragon Rider, The Thief Lord, and The Inkheart Trilogy and thought that they were great, but the other ones that I didn't read (Igraine The Brave, The Ghosthunters Series) didn't look like any good at all, which is obviously why I didn't read them. And I will admit that the writing style wasn't the best in Dragon Rider or Theif Lord - and none of her villains seemed very belivable except in Inkspell and Inkdeath. The other characters were great though (in my opinion), and she did a great job of describing places.

I read Inkheart, bits of the thing about Cornelia, and the other thing about Molly... I don't remember the names. I don't think I've read Dragon Riders, but that one actually looked okay.

I loved Inkheart, and also Inkspell *sniff* and Inkdeath, too, athough Meggie was supposed to marry Farid. *rolls eyes* They're one of the only fantasy series in the world where you can't predict every single thing that happens.

Actually, if I remember correctly, by the time I was a little more than halfway through, I'd more or less figured out the whole thing. If memory serves.

Though I won't deny the originality of the plot.

(ALERT! Commander Kip is scheduled for a routine two-week disappearance starting at one o'clock this afternoon. Goodbye.)

Yeah, that was so frustrating! I was like, "Meggie, what are you DOING?" Poor Farid. Sigh. I mean, come on! Farid has fire! He's like five times cooler than Doria. Doria was nice and everything, but Meggie was suppposed to be with Farid. *pouty face*

I know! And there was that whole thing about them being in love. Farid even came back from the dead! So why did they go "fall out of love" like that?

I've read, Dragon Rider, Inkheart, The Thief Lord, Inkblood, Inkdeath, and Igrane the Brave.  And yes, I did say Inkblood.  They had Cornelia Funke change the name to Inkspell because they thought that peoples parents wouldn't allow their kids to read it.  Mom and dad would've let me read it.  But, other peoples parents are different then mine.  What I don't get is why the last ones alled Inkdeath and they won't allwoow the other book to be named Inkdeath.    I have all of the books in the Inkheart Trillogy.  My dad also likes it.  and he's reading Inkblood to Autumn.  I have not read the Ghost hunters series.  Though I want to.  Thelibrary does not have the first book.  TShe also wrote some shortr books too.  I just don't remember their names.

My favorite one... I don't know.  I like all of them.

Did youknow that Cornelia Funkes dogs name is Luna?  Same name as my little sister, Luna!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dragon Rider wasn't bad, but the villain *shakes head* was just completely flat and predictable and one-demensional and unrealistic and - well, in short, not a very good character. I did like all of her books that I read, but I don't think any of them could possibly compare to Inkspell or Inkdeath.

I'd say the "Inkheart" series is my favorite. I read "Dragon Rider" and seriously disliked it. In fact, I rather loathed it when I read it.
