Hasn't ANYONE read

Chatterbox: Blab About Books

The Series Of Unfortunate Events
Hasn't ANYONE read...

Hasn't ANYONE read these books? They're absolutely amazing! It's about, well, a lot of things that happen to 3 orphans. My favorite character was Friday, I was so sad when she died!

I read them. I thought I loved them while I was reading them, but afterward I went on to better stuff and reallized that they weren't really that great after all, if you know what I mean. "Lemony Snicket" has a weird sense of humor, and I got tired of the whole, "This is is going to be the most tragic book you've ever read" thing. And sorry, but who's Friday?

Have you read the whole series? Friday didn't appear until the thirteenth book. I didn't really like the whole "this is so tragic thing either, but I found if I tried hard enough, I could ignore it. And yeah, the sense of humor was weird, but if you just focus on the story, you can ignore that, too. And it gets better with every book.

I don't think LSnicket's weird; he's original and a good writer. I mean, that whole subplot with Beatrice and Kit and VFD and such... that was extremely well-thought out. I enjoyed the books.

Friday was the girl on the island in #13, the island ruled by... it was Ishmael, right?

I loved the books! I think he did the tragic stuff to prove a point. His point was that the story was going to have some "sad" stuff in it. And it sort of did. By the way, it's realized, not reallized.

Yeah... I'm guessing that that was a typo.
