I run to the mailbox, wanting to get the mail quickly so I can go back to reading. I flip through it as I take it out of the box. I see a Hogwarts letter. Oh My Gosh. REALLY??!! I pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming. I'm not. I run home as fast as I can and scream to my parents, "I GOT A HOGWARTS LETTER!!!!!!!!!"

An hour later I'm completely packed. I stand in my fireplace, toss in the Floo Powder, and yell, "DIAGON ALLEY!"

I emerge from the fireplace in the Leaky Cauldron and approach the desk.

"You a CBer?" the man there asks.

"Yes," I say.

He hands me a pouch of money. "From the Admins."

"Um, can you  take me through to the alley?" I ask.

"Of course! You don't have a wand yet?"

"No, I'm a first year at Hogwarts."

"Cool!"

He takes me through and heads back. I quickly make all of my needed stops, getting books, robes, cauldrons, potion supplies- and finally my wand.

I walk in the door of Leanders and breathe in the old, musty smell. The man asks me a few questions, measures me, then hands me a wand. "Willow. 11 inches. Unicorn tail in the core. Very flexible."

I wave it through the air, and nothing happens. He gives me another. Then another. Then another, until finally one works.

"Holly. 13 inches. Phoenix feather core. Very firm." 

I wave it in a swoop, and white sparks fly in its path. I can feel that it's the right wand, so I pay him {insert good number here} galleons and walk out.

My last stop is the pet store. It's not required, but I have some money left, so I decide to get an owl. I look at all the cages. A small, deep black owl coos in such a way that I am drawn to her. I point it out to the attendant and she gets the cage for me. I pay and walk out.

"You're a beauty, aren't you,"  I murmur to my new owl. "I think I'll name you Dusk."

Sure, June and GreenMango! You seem nice! I think there are four seats. Alright, roleplaying it-

I appear in a bemused old woman's house. "What are you doing here? You're not a robber, are you?"

I decide to take a chance. "Sorry, ma'am. I'm a first-year student in Hogwarts. I tried to use Floo Powder to get to Platform 9 and 3\4s, but something must've gone wrong.

"Oh, that's alright then! Run along now, and don't miss your train!" I head down to Platform 9. I know what I have to do, but that doesn't make it any more appealing. I brace myself, and race at the wall.

I appear on another platform. The sign reads 'Platform 9 and 3\4s.'

Yes! I see a bright red train approaching. Painted on it are the words Hogwarts Express. I run and get on, sitting down in a empty compartment. "Hey, can we sit here?" I look up and see the girl I met at the pet store- June. With her is another kid, waving at me. "Hi, I'm Mango." I wave back. "Sure!" 

The train starts to move. My rats have fallen asleep in my pocket. I pull them out, much to the chargin of Hazel, and introduce them to Mango. When the trolley witch comes around, I buy some Pumpkin Pasties, four or five Chocolate Frogs, and a bag of Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans for 2 Galleonms and 5 Sickles, offering them to June and Mango. I also buy a piece of celery, which, splitting into four pieces, I give to Hazel, Sonic, Nutmeg, and Cinnamon. They run under a couch cushion to eat it, and I play with them. Eventually they go back in my pocket, and I talk to June and Mango some more. All of us are really excited and suprised about going to Hogwarts. After we hear "20 minutes to Hogwarts!" We all go change into our school robes. I look out the window and see... Hogwarts.

I'm silent for a long moment after reading the letter. Then I come to my senses and realize what I just read- Hogwarts is real, and I'm going there! To Hogwarts! This feels like it must be some kind of joke, but I can tell it's not. I'm really a witch!

Clutching the letter to my chest, I race back to the house to pack. I don't need to take much, just my books, clothes, money, and some other stuff. I'm all ready and packed when I realize I don't have a way to get to diagon alley. I grab the envelope and look through it, and finding some floo powder, to my relief. I walk over to our never-used fireplace and am about to leave when I hear a voice."Where are you going?" My mom calls.

"To Hogwarts!" I reply, knowing she'll be as excited as I am.

"Is that the Harry Potter thing?" My mom asks. Oh right, my parents haven't even read Harry Potter.

"Yes, it's the Harry Potter thing," I sigh. My parents are such muggles. Time to go! I think excitedly. I toss my floo powder into the fireplace and shout, "DIAGON ALLEY!", then step in as the world swirls around me and my feet are lifted from the ground.

After buying my wand at Olivanders I walk into his fire place, I bit filthy but not as small as mine... I had to stick my head in the chimney. I shout "platform 9 3/4!" I open my eyes to see a scarlet engine, I don't see it for long, there are so many wizards and witches everywhere, its hard to see. When I finealy make it on the train, all of the compartments are full. I finely find one compartment that only has one witch/wizard (are you a girl or a boy?). Lightning, who I met at the pet store. "Can I sit here?"

"sure." Stella flys onto my shoulder. Lightning buys some treats from the trolley witch. "Would you like some?" Lightning asks gesturing toward a chocolate frog.

"Yes, thank you."

(sorry for how short and not well written this is, I was in a hurry.) 

I land in the leaky cauldron and sit up dizzily, then quickly jump to my feet and run out the door to go to Gringotts. But after my first step into Diagon Alley, I have to stop. It's more amazing than I could have ever dreamed of. What's even more amazing is seeing wizards and witches do magic as if it's nothing, and I guess it is to them. The air is alive with magic, and I feel a grin spreading across my face as I walk to Gringotts.

I go into the huge building and am greeted by a goblin. "You from the CB?" he asks. "Yeah," I say."Come this way," he says and walks off. I follow him. The goblin hands me a sack of galleons, sickles, and knuts. "From the Admins," he tells me. Then I exchange my dollars for wizarding money. I'm glad I was given money, because I wouldn't have had enough without it.

After getting my money, I get all my school supplies. Then I go the Magical Menagerie. I go right over to the cats. Both my parents are allergic, but I love cats, is this is my chance to get one. A cute tabby cat catches my eye. I go over to pet her soft fur. She cuddles up to me, and I know she's the one. "I'll call you Zoe," I tell her. I buy the cat and go to what I'm most excited for- Ollivander's. I'm going to get my wand!

When I step into Ollivander's, I am greeted by a friendly man. "Getting your first wand?" he asks. I nod. The man measures me, the hands me a wand. "Try this. Walnut wood, Phoenix feather core, 11 1/4 inches, slightly springy." I take the wand and wave it in the air. Nothing happens- and then I hear something explode in the back of the shop. "Oh, well, not that one," the man says. "Try this." He hands me another wand. "Ash wood, unicorn hair core, 10 inches, hard flexibility." I take the wand and wave it around. A stream of silver flows from the top. I gasp in awe. "That's your wand," the man tells me. I pay for it, then use the fireplace to get to Platform 9 3/4. I toss my floo powder in and shout, "KING'S CROSS!"
