Oh yeah, I read this one! Not the others...or did I? I don't really remember honestly xD I didn't like them very much, but they were very good. (Lol, pun appreciated!)

I'll leave a comment soon, I haven't had time to sit down and compose a post xD

There's also a third book by Brian Selznick, Wonderstruck. You should read all of them!

Thanks coyotedomino!! That one sounds cool, and I think all three of those Brian Selznick books are at my library. I'll check them out!

Title: Marvel's Squirrel Girl: Squirrel Meets World

Author: Shannon Hale

Genre: Action? It's a superhero book

Summary: When fourteen-year-old Doreen Green, a girl born with a squirrel tail, moves to Shady Oaks, New Jersey, she has to start at a new school, make new friends, and continue to hide her tail. After several failed attempts to find her BFF, Doreen starts to get sad and homesick. But one day, when she is walking home from school and uses her squirrel powers to stop a group of vandalists from causing trouble in her neighborhood, Doreen's squirrel tail is noticed and her whole life changes. As people at school start talking about her, Doreen starts thinking about becoming a real superhero. And thus, with the help of her BHFF (Best Human Friend Forever), Ana Sofia, and her BSFF (Best Squirrel Friend Forever), Tippy Toe, Squirrel Girl is born! This is a really awesome book, and it's how I first got introduced to the Marvel universe. There's also a comic series about Squirrel Girl, but those aren't as good.

I agree, the comics aren't as good as the book.

There's a sequel to Squirrel Meets World, too, but I don't have enough time to post a review right now.

Oh yes! Have you read the second?

Beyond the Bright Sea by Lauren Wolk. A deft, fascinating story told in a quietly loving tone by our innocent, levelheaded narrator and protagonist Crow as she explores her mysterious past and increasingly dangerous present on the small chain of Massachusetts islands that are her home. Some of the twists were more like turns; the reveals weren't very sudden or dramatic, especially if you've read Wolf Hollow, but that was slowly tipped over by the end. Everything is there if you look, but you'll be too busy reading. Suspense builds up, questions surfacing, with answers surely just pages away. It may or may not break your heart. Oh, and also, pirates, buried treasure, and family.

A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle

This is "fantasy children's literature" but it is such a good book! I just finished reading it, and am totally in love with her writing! Also, they just came out with a movie, but I have not yet seen it.

The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien

AAAAAHH!!! What more can I say? The sequels to The Hobbit, it's fantasy reading about a hobbit. And an elf. And a dwarf. And three other hobbits. And a wizard. And a random but supercool guy named Aragorn. Who has a really cool sword. Oh, and the books were turned into three AMAZING movies!!! The first book is The Fellowship of the Ring.

Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbit

This is a book that really makes you think about a lot of things. It's a fantasy story about a girl named Winnie Foster who accidentally stumbles upon a very peculiar family with the last name of Tuck. BTW, this was turned into a Broadway musical, which I have not seen, but the soundtrack is absolutely phenomenal!!

The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis

Fantasy reading about children having adventures in the world of Narnia. The first book is The Magician's Nephew. The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader were all turned into movies. Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe was really good, and so was Prince Caspian. I have not seen Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Liam Neeson did a really good job as Aslan, though!

The Dragons in Our Midst Series by Bryan Davis

This is what you would call "religious fiction" I guess, but I couldn't resist sharing it. It is firmly Christian writing about teens living in a dragon-influenced world. The first book is Raising Dragons.

Hey Queen Elizabeth all of the books you just listed (with the possible exeption of Tuck Elevlasting I've never read that one) were written by Christian writers.

They also all have Christian themes, and they’re all also freaking awesome. Except maybe Tuck Everlasting, which I haven’t read.

I've read Mark of the Dragonfly, but what's A Tale of Two Castles about?

Ooh, I love all of Gail Carson Levine's books! Ella Enchanted, Fairest, the Two Princesses of Bamarre, A Tale of Two Castles, . . . they're all amazing!

Ella Enchanted is the most popular one (I think), and it's a retelling of Cinderella, but SO MUCH BETTER! Ella, the main character, has an obedience curse, which makes her have to follow any orders given to her. She goes on an adventure, meets ogres, giants, and more to try to break her curse... she's such a strong, brave, and kind heroine and I love her so much! I also like to movie version, though the book is better.

Fairest is about a girl named Aza, who can "throw" her voice (AKA ventriloquism). She goes to the royal castle and makes a dangerous bargain with the queen. It's kind of a retelling of Snow White, but with many differences.

I don't have time to write summaries of the other ones, but read them! They're amazing!

I’ll Be There by Holly Goldberg Sloan

I have no idea how to even begin describing this. If any of you have read any of this author’s books then you will understand. If you like heartbreaking but amazingly sweet romances, horribly sad family stories and tragedy, and basically every other kind of emotion you can possibly feel, read this book. I can’t do it justice. Warning for some language, though it’s not bad.

@Viola? It would be best if you just read it because I'm really bad at giving 'innocent' summaries, meaning I'm bad at telling what books are about and not giving the ending away. :P
