Hey everyone! So I was wondering if anyone has a favorite book that they want to be made into a movie. Or a favorite book that has been made into a movie, but needs a remake.

Artemis Fowl.
I think that's it.
And I agree SOO much on Ella Enchanted. They completely changed the plot and it's just horrible.

Oh yes! An Artemis Fowl movie would be so good!
I saw the original A Wrinkle In Time movie, and it was terrible. I havn't seen the new and so I can't confirm its terribility (is that a word?) but it got a 39% on Rotten Tomatoes. That's really bad. It could do with a remake. Actually, it could do with ten remakes. It deserves a good movie. They should do it over and over again until they get it right.
Aaand I just started ranting without realizing it. I'll cut myself off here.

I didn't see the new Wrinkle in Time movie either, but from what I've seen in the trailers it doesn't look really good. So yeah. They should remake that again.

Hey, guys-that-want-an-Artemis-Fowl-movie: They're actually making one!! I know, I couldn't believe it either when I found out, but if you look online, it says that they are actually making one and it will be released in summer 2019. There's also a lot of other articles that say that the director is the same guy who did the live-action Cinderella. The cast so far seems pretty great? (Mostly so excited because Josh Gad is Mulch!!!! Ahhhhh!!! It's so perfect!!!) Honestly other than that I don't really care, just that they're making it. I'm a little nervous that it will be trashy (coughcough PJ movies) but all we can do is wait and see.

Update:
The. Movie. Sucks.
I should have known when the movie was released on Disney+ only (slightly bad sign) 1 month after the release date (May 2020).
The movie is fussing over something that doesn't exist, and the celebrities did bad.

Oooh, and Keeper of the Lost Cities!! It would be SUCH an epic movie series!
I also think they should make movies of Pennyroyal Academy, although I read something somewhere that may or may not be true about a movie being made in the future, and something about the movie rights having already been purchased from the author, so I'm exciiiited!

@General Waffleson: I love the Explorers Guild! That would make a pretty great movie!
@Soren P: So would Diary from the Edge of the World! Its the only book thats ever made me cry.
Also I definitely agree with Artemis Fowl. That'll make a great movie if they can pull it off. I just hope they dont try to squish them all into one movie. It would work way better if they did each individual book.

I was SOOOO dissapointed when I saw the Percy Jackson movies. The only things in common with the first movie and the first book is that Luke stole the bolt and the Lotus Hotel and Casino. And Medusa. And the Camp. And the stolen bolt. But WHERE IN THE WORLD IS ARES!?!? He's a HUGE part! Percy Jackson deserves a TOTAL REMAKE. Heros Of Olympus would make great movies.
