Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Book Recommendations
A while back...

A while back I went on here and made a list of books that people recommended that sparked my interest. Eventually I had a list of over 30 books. Then I went to the library and read a bunch this summer and my list decreased significantly. Most of the remaining books on my list are not at the library currently, and I'm going today so I don't have enough time to place a hold on them. I really need recommendations. I especially like book series.

Some Books I've Read and Like(some of these are series I haven't finished):

The Waterfire Saga

The Harry Potter Series

The Wings of Fire Series

The Land of Stories Series

The School for Good and Evil

The Unwanteds Series

Furthermore (I'm going to get Whichwood)

Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library

The War that Saved my Life (& sequel)

Story Thieves 1, 2, and 3.

Ella Enchanted

That's mostly fantasy, but I do like like some historical or realistic fiction. Ready, Set, Recommend!!

That was cheesy xD

A Wind In The Door is the second book of the Time Quintet, after A Wrinkle In Time. You should probably read them in order, though it's not strictly necessary. I absolutely love the Time Quintet. Madeleine L'Engle is a freaking genius. Also read her other, less famous, series, the Austin Family Chronicles. Those are a bit easier to read, except for the third. Also maybe the last, though that one's really pretty. And I haven't read the last official book of the Time Quintet... Anyway. L'Engle's stuff is really good. READ. (Or the owl will eat you.)

I completely agree. I've read A Wrinkle in Time, but until a few months ago I didn't know there were four other books after it. By the way, is it pronounced A W-in-d in the Door, or A W-eye-nd in the Door? Probably the former, but just curious.

Huh, I've always read it as "wind" like a breeze, but it could totally not be. Never thought that.

I finished reading it. I think it is in the sense of a breeze, though previously, knowing Madeline L’Engle, it could have been either. Oh. My. Goodness. That book is genius.
