I'm starting the WoF series, and I wanted to know if it's a series that you have to read in order, or if the rules are a little bit looser?

Well there are kind of three series within the series: for the first one start from the first book, for the second one start from Moonwatcher's book, and for the third one, from Blue's. But it's definitely best to read them in order.

Make sure not to skip the prolougues and the epilougues!

You should probably read them in order, and I also say don't skip prologues/epilogues. They're very important. There are three arcs so far and a few graphic novel versions, too.

but anyway, my point is definitely read Wings of Fire in order.
