Hello CBers! I

Chatterbox: Blab About Books

The Last Book
Hello CBers! I...

Hello CBers! I am Neverseen, a relatively new CBer and I have a question for you: If you were blasting off to space (or in some other similar situation that involves leaving your source of reading) and you could only take ONE book with you, which would it be? You can not take a whole series, though you can take a book from a series. Also, this book would be one you would read in your free time, not a textbook or dictionary (unless you do read these in your free time, in which case, you are allowed to bring one). So, CBers, which would you bring? What would be your Last Book?

I would take a mac-book with all my favorite books on it! Actually all books in the world on it! Punny, right!??!

Yeah, super funny.

Oh shut up. ANYWAY, I know that is kind of cheating, so I would probably bring the longest novel in the world, or a notebook. I haven't read the longest novel in the world, and I want to have something new. Or maybe, I would bring a spaceship manual!

Sputter says aywbr. "Ay, what brrr"? I guess Sputter's cold!

Oh, a MacBook would be smart way to get around the restriction, though I would say in this case, only one book would be allowed like you deduced, computer or paper. The longest novel, is allowed though.  I wonder what the longest novel is?

*goes to search the web*
I found that it is called Remeberance of Things Past by Marcel Proust! I would say that would keep you entertained for quite awhile! It is 3,000 pages long!

I would take the book Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire because it's very very very long and also very good, so it would occupy me for a long time.

Okay, so there are Lord of the Rings editions in one book, and I remnd you the LOTR was written as one book. So, can I take one of those?

Yes! As long as it was written together somewhere, you can take it!

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It's been my favorite book for years, and it's also the longest Harry Potter book (I think?) So that's what I'd take

Hmm... I'd take Magyk by Angie Sage (the first boook of the Septimus heap series) because it's long and awesome and I could read it forever :D
