I wasn't sure where to put this, but here it is! Post your favorite words here. They can be your faves because of their definition or their connotation or because they're fun to say or something else entirely.

Claptrap (this and the four before it are all synonyms for "nonsense"; I still can't believe "flapdoodle" is a word)
Gloaming (a synonym for twilight; I love everything about this word, from its definition to its spelling)

Murmuration of starlings! I love words that refer to specific groups of animals. My favorites are a kaleidescope of butterflies, a parliament of owls, and a prickle of porcupines. I like how they correlate to the animals' personalities (or perceived/symbolic personalities)

1st place ~ Pandemonium : Chaos *grins evilly* *mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-haaaaaaaaaaa* But the main reason I like it is 'cause of the word itself, not the meaning....
Other 1st place ~ Inkling : a glimmer of knowledge. Also, my captcha. Say hello, Inkling! <<Hello>>
Old fave ~ Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia : The fear of long words (although, apparently, it is officially reconized as a phobia)
Another "word" I love ~ Spindiddly : Beyond awesome. Why "word" is in quotation marks, is 'cause it's not a real word....

Inkling is saying something, but what, I can't tell. <<fyyny>>. That's a whole bunch of 'y's, Inky! Could she mean "funny"? Who knows. Exept her. Or maybe she doesn't even know what she's saying!
Oh, now she's saying <<ppyap>> Now it's 3 'p's, instead of 3 'y's! But this time she could mean "puppy yap" PP is yapping. Or, backwards, "pay pp"
