Hey guys.....ok so...

Hey guys.....ok so there is this book i just read called Doll bones and it was AMAZING. it was kinda a horror story thing.....but not really. The author is named Holly black (look her up). She has a bunch of other books. Also another book that i just read and was really good, was a book called dealing with dragons by Patricia C Wrede. There are three more books to that sires. I suggest you read those books if you have not.

I love Dealing with Dragons! It's soooo good.

Have you heard of Magisterium? It's a series that Holly Black co-wrote. You might like it.

I have read doll bones and enjoyed it even though I don't usually like books about creepy dolls. I haven't read dealing with dragons but I love dragons so it sounds like I might like it!

OMG I WAS JUST THINKING ABOUT THIS BOOK AND THEN I CLICK ON BAB FOR THE FIRST TIME IN AGES AND !!

It's been a long time since I read it, but Doll Bones is one of my favorite books. I don't know, something about it is so comforting and familiar and wonderful in its creepiness. I love the concept of The Game, because I relate to it- I also grew up deeply invested in "pretending" games (mostly with calico critters, American Girl dolls, and dollhouse dolls) that I played with my friends that seemed so insignificant from the outside, but were really complex stories with characters and worlds that in my mind spanned much farther than what they physically were. The Game is much more interesting and creepy, of course, but Doll Bones was the only book that took that sort of thing seriously, in all its imaginative strangeness. Also, the main characters are playing these games at an age older than is expected of them, which I also did.

And that's a ramble about only one part of the book! All in all, Doll Bones feels like the dream of every weird kid with a dark-ish imagination who sees a magical adventure in...taking a Greyhound bus, camping, unceremoniously stealing a boat, and going to a library and a graveyard? I love it.

honestly i think doll bones was creepy just because the way the girl was killed and the part when there camp gets ruined.
