Has anybody read this series? If you haven't, you should. I just finished Book One and it is honestly one of the most engaging books I've ever read! I think that the plot is very well-written and the characters are easy to love.

I agree!  I actually just finished the fourth book and I thought the whole series was amazing.  Who's your favorite character?  Mine's Kate.

I've read the series too. I finished the fourth book a few years ago, but I recently watched the TV series. 

I love, love, love this author and his books. I agree, the characters are easy to follow and love.

My favorites are Constance and Reynie.

If you sent it via email or US mail to Cricket Readers Recommend, it may be because we get more reviews than we have room to publish in the magazine. Or it may still be waiting to be selected for an upcoming issue. It may take a couple years. And if the book has recently been reviewed in a published CRR from another reader, then we may not use yours. We like to present different books.

AAH YES okay so I read the first book like four years ago and mostly liked it but never read the next ones, but recently a friend made me borrow The Perilous Journey, and I loved it and then I watched the series and it's so shrieking good

I think my favorite character is Milligan, honestly. He falls squarely into a very specific category of Favorite Characters I have. And then Kate, then Reynie.

Constance is fantastic. In the first book, when Mr. Benedict tells how Constance did the test In was laughing out loud for, like, five minutes!
