I love this list! I haven't read most of those but they look cool.

I have one more: A Snake Falls to Earth by Darcie Little Badger (main character is ace, though it doesn't really come up a lot, and there's at least one nonbinary character.)

I love Cinderella is Dead!!! It's such a great book. I go back and read it every once and a while and every time it's even better than the first time I read it.

A Dark and Hollow Star (and the sequel, A Cruel and Fated Light).

The main ships are both queer, plus it has some genderfluid and trans representation. It's in a world with fae courts that coexist (secretly) with the human world. The main characters (it has four narrators) are a prince with a manipulative mother, his bodyguard who is trying to distance himself from the prince to protect them both from the mom, this girl named Arlo who is half human and therefore everyone thinks her magic is week, and an immortal who has been cursed to live amoung humans, cast out from her former status as an immortal justice-wielding fury.

Basically, Arlo is fated to have a bunch of power so all the immortals want her and she is simeltaneously trying to figure out her own powers and not get exiled from the fae courts by the members of the Fae Council that hate ironborns (part human fae).

I have found a gem of a thread!

I hate to connect this to Star Wars, like I do with everything (irl, at least), but the Star Wars books have some great queer representation. It's pretty subtle in most of them that I've read, but I actually like that. In real life, I've found that a lot of the time lgbt stuff is made a big deal, because we're not at the point where the majority of the population finds it normal, if okay at all. In Star Wars there wil be some random female background character that has a wife and no one cares (in a good way). That being said, there is no onscreen queer representation so hopefully we will get that soon (Although probably not, as it will make Disney less money. I don't say this in a hating-disney way at all, I just mean that from a buisness perspective some countries will not show it and some people will not like it. That being said (i'm saying that a lot in this paragraph aren't I) I think Disney could definitley do better with its queer rep).

And now I've written a paragraph about queer rep in Star Wars and Star wars isn't even fantasy, it's sci-fi. Oh well. Have a nice day everyone!

Hmm, looking back through our list of all the books we've ever read...

We have a few recommendations!

Our best reccommendations for lgbtq+ fantasy:

The Lock-Eater. It's a wonderful book. Read it!

This Poison Heart. We haven't read it, but it is one of our friend's favorite books. It does have some instances of profanity, though, recommended for 8th grade and higher.

The Sunbearer Trials!!! One of our very favorite books, based on Mexican mythology and folklore! Recommended for 8th grade and higher. Contains some instances of profanity.

If you like those books, you might also like:

The Witch Boy is a good lgbtq+ supportive graphic novel, although as far as I can remember there's no romance in it, one of the characters has gay fathers.

For young adult books, there is a book called The Gilded Ones and it's sequel, which doesn't have an lgbtq+ main character, but lots of side characters who are lgbtq+, although I would recommend it for the age group of high schoolers and older, as it's got some pretty grown-up topics.

I also like the book She Drives Me Crazy, which features a lesbian couple in high school as the main characters, although it is realistic fiction, and not fantasy.

Also the Heartstopper graphic novels! They are realistic fiction, but they are so good! (Would recommend for grade 7 and up; involves depression in one of the main characters, but it isn't inappropriate and the character gets help)

omigosh i love the witch boy series, though it is a little too easy to speed through since i read fairly quickly.

the lock eater, also good. i havent read any of the others on ur list but i definitely will get them from the library! ive sort of been obsessed with YA gay romance novels for the past month, though i probably shouldnt share them all since their a little too old for this age range i guess.

Yes, Girl Of The Sea is spindiddly. Also Twelfth Grade Night (also a graphic novel) is spindiddly!!!! LOVE ITTT. It's a sorta modern version of Shakespear's Twelfth Night. It's AMAZHANG

Oh, speaking of the Riordanverse (yes, actually, I was. AmaZHANG, Frank Zhang, yeah...), maybe not really PJO, and idk about TKC (would saltnubis count? aaaah i don't know this sort of stuff sorry), but the rest definitely do have lgbtqiap+ rep.

...and that's it for now, I guess.

(sorry but Inklling says "erkme" irk me? she wants to be irked??? You're strange, inky)

This is a graphic novel!

Tea Dragon Society - Kay O'Neil - It's such a cute lil' comic!

LotS, the other titles you mentioned are rated above the reading level of Chatterbox, so I'm only posting this one.
