Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Comics
Comics are a...

Comics are a little-talked-about race of things that are compiled into books, so I shall make a post about them, and to counter the warriors roleplays like Reuben.

Anyway, some comics I love are Bloom County (old, out of print, but hilarious all the same), Calvin and Hobbes (duh!) and Nonsequiter (pretty pictures) What about y'all?

Good Thread!

OK, comics. Calvin and Hobbes is, of course, my favorite. I like Get Fuzzy, too, although it has declined in quality recently. FoxTrot is hilarious, and Jason is my role model (maybe). Others are Peanuts, Dilbert and xkcd (which very few people here, TNÖ excepter, have probably heard of).

Oh, and Adina, Yahoo News has Classic Bloom County comics daily.

Really? Thanks! I never knew that. H'mmmmm. What else have I not known...  On another note, Warriors counter attack so far so good, cap'n Reuben.

@Reuben: I love xkcd! And also Pictures for Sad Children.

I also like Calvin and Hobbes (as a matter of course), The Far Side, and Johnny the Homicidal Maniac.

Ahh yes! How could I forget JtHM! And Foxtrot! and Fuzzy! I love Get Fuzzy! I agree it has declined quality lately. I shall look up this strange thing you like, xkcd. *ctrl T* *opens new tab* *googles* *reads* *lols* *beats herself for sayings lols* *comes back**writes this*

Yup.  I like xkcd.  Also megatokyo (L337 guy pwns). and all the comics at platypuscomix.net. I should go read a real book, not internet comics. *picks up six charactors in search of an author* *puts it back down because it is a play*

Chyeah, of course Get Fuzzy. And Dilbert and Zits... henh. Comic books confuse me horribly, but I like the comics in the paper.

*goodsearches xkcd* Um... xkcd = 42, like in HG2G? Using cool mathiness? (Math! >_>)

@Adina: Wow! Cap'n!

Yeah, xkcd is hilarious. My current favorite is the one where "instead of office chair, package contained bobcat. would not buy again."

Made even better by the epic Brick Joke in the Alt Text *251* comics later: "The h***? Who mails a bobcat?" Win.

My personal favourite, though, is #231:

"YOU'RE A KITTY!" "Yes, you are! And you're sitting there! Hi, Kitty!"

Did you guys know that if you put your mouse of the the comic in xkcd, there is one extra funny line that pops up. Just found out, but you guys probably knew already.

I bet you are wondering where I find all this time. Well I won't tell you ! *cough* *sneeze* Where did all of those tissues come from?

Ooh! yay when I sneezed I said pika in front of it so it sounded like pikachoo!

Twice, actually.

Yeha, TNÖ, the bobcat saga is awesome. So is everything with the graphs. My favorite graphs are the bacon one and the "thisadpaidforbythecounciltopromotemicrosoftandchristianity.
