Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Harry potter and the methods of rationality
Hi just looking...

Hi just looking for other people who enjoyed the harry potter books when you read them but now you feel meh about them. I started listening to harry potter and the methods of rationality a couple months ago  (right I'm on Chapter 51: Title Redacted, Pt 1) and I'm looking for other fans.I think that harry has no personality in the books but in method of rationality he at least has some. Please tell me what you think.

WHOA HI I have a few friends irl who've read them but never met anyone who's read them, if that makes sense. This is awesome! I definitely agree that Harry has a lot more character in HPMOR. It also manages to poke fun at all the HP plot holes while building up the story in such a nerdy way... I really enjoyed the book :D I don't want to spoil anything though, where are you in the story?

Yay! I'm only on like chapter 6/7 though, it's slow-going cuz I've gotta finish all my overdue library books first :/ (and Hex recommended it to me so yeah :) )

Harry Potter is a great book/books but he does have personalty. He has anger issues but he is still a good person. You just need to look at the tiny details not just the overview of the plot.

I love HPMOR :) just finished it and I loved the ending. I think Elizier Yudowsky has written some other stuff too that I'm going to read.

I loved HPMOR :) I read it twice and I still don't get it (it literally made my head hurt; it's too smart for me) but I think the author is really funny. The section about comed-tea was so funny I still start laughing whenever I think about it.
