I love the books like Maggie's Door, etc. All of the books by her are  awesome! She has written like 100000000000000 books, all of which are good!

The Door Within is the most awesome trilogy you will ever read. Trust me, I KNOW. I am reading them for the second time and am falling in love with them again.

First off, thanks to everyone else for the good book suggestions. You should also read:

The Ranger's Apprentice series by John Flannagan

The Wizard's First Rule and the following books by Terry Goodkind

Definitely read Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Silmarillion, and The Children of Hurin by J.R.R. Tolkien and Christopher Tolkien

The Twilight  series by Stephanie Meyer

Ingo and The Tide Knot by Helen Dunmore

The Young Wizards series by Diane Duane

All books by Tamora Pierce (though I am obliged to tell you that these are slightly mature so ask you parents first!)

The Squire's Tale by Gerald Morris

His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman

This is all I can think of off the top of my head, but these should hold you over for a few months. And when you are done, go read some fanfiction!!!!

Read Sabriel by Garth Nix.  It is my favorite book EVER!  It has dark magic, romance, and tons of action-y action!

EAST EAST EAST EAST EAST EAST EAST EAST EAST!!!! Also, the Ingo books are really good, along with Fablehaven, Inkheart Trilogy (or anything by Corneilia Funke), The Fire Within, NOT Twilight!!!, The Boy Who Dared if you like sad stuff, Charlie Bone, The Homework Machine, The Clique, if you like feminine books, Chicken soup for the ocean lover's soul, The Young Wizard's series, Esperanza Rising, etc., etc., etc. \

I could go on for hours but...

Elidor, about some kids who find another world - takes place in England (mostly)

Swordbird, a sort of allegorical story, something like Redwall, by a twelve- or thirteen-year-old -- pretty good

Whispering with Witches, about a boy who finds a group of witches,

Secret of Platform 13, Which Witch, other stuff by Eva Ibbotson

And I can't think of anything else that hasn't been recommended.
