Witness is written by author Karen Hesse. In Witness you will get the views of about six people from the town. This town is suffering and under the attack of the Ku Klux Klan, and things start getting violent soon enough. The characters will have to learn which is better, the way of God, the way of the law, or the way of the people who only want people like themselves. 

I recommend Witness to kids ages nine to eleven.
