Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Book Quotes!
Okay, here's my...

Okay, here's my first book quote:

"Only two hours," she sighed. "That will be half past one; Mother will be at Cousin Ann's, the children at home will have had their dinner, and Hannah cleared all away. I have some lunch, because Mother said it would be a bad beginning to get to the brick house hungry and have Aunt Mirandy have to get me something to eat the first thing.-It's a good growing day, isn't it?"

First one to guess the book gets to post the next quote! Good luck! If no one guesses it by the 20th, I'll post another quote.

Oh, that's something of Sunny Brook Farm, right?? Sorry, I can't remember the first name. My quote is a very popular one, so it'll probably be easy to guess. NO GOOGLING.

(say in a dramatic voice. Heck, it's one of the best parts of the book!)

"In vain have I struggled. It will not do. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you."

*swoons* Why?? Why couldn't I have lived back then!? Okay, go ahead and guess.

Yes, it's Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm. Ummm...I have no idea. I'm more of the Anne of Green Gables/Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm/The Mysterious Benedict Society fan, so I haven't even seen that quote before. I'll guess, though. Is it something by Shakespeare?

I would say Anne of Green Gables or *is taking a wild guess* Jane Eyre (Never Read it but...).

It isn't Anne of Green Gables. I'm reading Jane Eyre, and I haven't seen that quote so far, but who knows?

Gone With The Wind, MJ?

(I don't think it's Jane Eyre.)

Me, neither. I've gotten to the point where it wouldn't make much sense.

Hmm... It rhymes, so... Yeah I've got nothing except it rhymes... Pride and Prejudice?

Okay, MJ. We give up (or at least I do). Where is it from? Then you can go again if you want.
