Steve: *makes weird

Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

Steve: *makes weird

Steve: *makes weird face*

Theo: Yeah. Steve's playing "Wild Thing" in my ear

Steve: So when we left off, Steve was blah blah blahblah.

Theo: Okay then..

Steve:*'Wild thing'*

*We mess around on guitar*

So... is this a music thread?

I guess it is. I LOVE the Rainbow Connection song from The Muppet Movie.

I love that song, too, and when I hear it I think of Jim Henson, the original voice of Kermit and Muppet creator, and how sad it was that he died so suddenly and so young!

@Admin: I agree. Did you see the new Muppets movie in 2011? They're doing another one for a March 2014 release. I love the Muppets.

No, I didn't. Was it good?

@Admin: Yes, The Muppets was an awesome movie, with an awesome story, an awesome new Muppet named Walter, and an awesome song called "Man or Muppet" that won Best Original Song at the Oscars. Plus awesome other new songs and awesome reprises of old ones, including "Rainbow Connection". It was the first good Muppet movie since The Muppets Take Manhattan (Note: Muppets from Space was most horrible of the later movies). So, yes, Admin, you should totally check it out!

OK, thanks. I'll check it out.

I kind of liked Muppets from Space. I can't remeber it though. Muppet Treasure Island is my favorite of all of the later movie, though.

That's a good one. My personal favorite is "I'm going to go back there someday" though.

Zaga says "hfix." He fix? He fixed what, Zaga?

@Theo

That one's pretty cool, too!  My absolute favorite is "I Hope that Something Better Comes Along".  There's a really good version of it by Matt Nathanson on the Muppets Green Album.

The new Muppets movie is great!  I love the Muppets!  I've actually been watching classic episodes of it on YouTube lately.  I've also watched Muppets in Space, Muppets Christmas Carol, and Muppets Wizard of Oz (that one's my favorite besides the new one).

Have you ever heard the version of The Rainbow Connection by Weezer and Hayley Williams?  It's really good.

I just finished listening to The Rocky Road to Dublin by The High Kings, which is really good.

I have never seen a Muppet movie in my entire life. I frankly, don't even know what they are... I think Kermit is a Muppet?...

I again, have been listening to Aselin Debison, nothing new. My music variety doesn't change much. Oh yeah, I've listened to some instrumental CDs called Celtic Whispers, and a piano song I LOVE SO MUCH BECAUSE IT SOUNDS LIKE THE MUSIC FROM ANNE OF GREEN GABLES called Moon River. So beautiful. I literally start to cry when I hear it because it just makes me feel like I'm standing right in front of Green Gables. If you haven't heard it, find it RIGHT NOW!!!

Yes, Kermit is a Muppet.  The Muppets are like these really cool, awesome hand-puppet/marionette hybrids.  They're awesome!  My secret ambition is to becoem a Muppeteer, but it's probably not going to happen.

@Melody: I wanted to be a Muppeteer at one point, but after making several puppet videos, and finding them to not be so good, either in dialogue, puppetry, or general quality, I decided it might not be the job for me. So then I wanted to be a screenwriter, but I gave up on that since I found out their jobs are horrible and they don't get any recognition. So now I want to be a director. It's always something artsy...

@BHR: REALLY? Never seen a Muppet movie in your life? Then again, I just discovered them in 2010 after getting the Muppets Big Book of Crafts, then watching The Muppet Movie. Jason Segel, who both wrote and starred in the new movie, said that he felt it was unjust that kids had not had a Muppet movie for over a decade between Space and when he put in his idea to Disney. I think, BHR, that you had better study up before they put out the next one March 2014.

And now, I think that since Theo and Steve were unsure what this thread was about, and now we're talking about the Muppets, it should be a Muppet thread! The next movie's title was changed from The Muppets... Again to Muppets Most Wanted. Additionally, Debby Ryan (one of those cute pop stars from Disney Channel sitcoms) will make an appearance in it.

I leave for only something like two days and this thread is dominated by muppets!

So, I guess my only comment at the moment is that my friend used to not like the muppets but now she's okay with all of them except for Animal. Now I have to convince her about Star Wars...

So has anyone but me (with the exception of Steve) seen all of the orginal muppet episodes? I can't remember them all, but in fourth grade I watched every single one in order. Amazingicle.

I remember "Pigs in Space."
