Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

Oh, the horrors!

Oh, the horrors!

As you may or may not know, I, Joe Dosie Doe am a left-handed citizen on the wonderful planet of EARTH! And, as you know, that can be a great advantage. That's because there are two sides of your brain, one that's more reasoning and simplistic, and one that's more emotional, artistic, and insightful. When you are right-handed, the simple side dominates your personality. But when you are a lefty, your other, more mystical and artistic side, dominates your personality. See this thread? http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/chirpatcricket/node/115450

But, at the Documentary Project I am working on, there are only right-handed cameras. The strap is on the right, the recording button is on the right. I use the camera with my left hand anyway. But it is horrible that the manufacturing industry is mostly not considerate to left-handers! It would not kill them, I'm sure, to put straps and buttons on both sides, so the cameras can be used with either hand. It is HORRIBLE!

I want to be a movie director. So, I can see, in my mind's eye, a production to be directed by me all ready to be engineered, when I find that I cannot operate any of the equipment (whatever equipment directors have to use, I know they don't have to operate the camera, just call the shots, right?), because all the stuff is right-hander oriented, and I am fired! I know that would probably be highly unlikely to happen, though. It's not stressing me out; the vision almost made me laugh, so you don't need to comfort me. I just imagined it.

But, still, the fact that most products do not hold left-handers in consideration is a HORROR! AGH!

Sounds annoying.  I would recommend practicing writing and other things with your right hand sometimes.

I got to talk to my sister yesterday, and as she is left-handed, I told her about you. She says companies can't not hire someone based on their dominant hand, so you don't need to worry about that. She also recommends that you learn to write with your right hand.
