The Scissor Problem

Hey guys! Remember the thread I had a while back about my sorry attempt to post my stopmotion on the CB? Well, The Scissor Problem is back! On YouTube, public privacy setting, and now it has MUSIC! So just search on YouTube for The Scissor Problem. Last I checked, that was the first result the search brought up!

I liked your choice of music.  I thought the communication through sticky notes was a great idea.  I could see your hand in one shot, but other than that, it was a really good stop-motion video.

What editing software do you use?

I was on a trip to D.C. when I made the video. I used my mom's friend's iPad (with permission), a cheap freeware stopmotion app, and a cheap freeware editing app. I wish I could have done more originally.

I recorded the music myself, about two or three months after creating it with no sound, with another of my mom's friends, who is a sound designer and works on SFX for stage productions. I composed it myself, fixed it a little with the help of my guitar teacher, and then played the music for the mike at Mom's friend's house.

Oh, did I ever mention that I play guitar?

That's cool! I didn't know that you wrote music. I write music also. And play guitar. And piano. And saxophone. (Too many instruments XD I also wanted a drum set but my parents would't go for it.)

Not that I've ever tried recording myself because A) Our piano is an upright plugged into the wall two rooms away and B) I'm not exactly excellent at guitar (a month of lessons FTW) and because C) Our mike is AWFUL. I MEAN AWFUL.

Oh yeah, and D) I can't sing. At all.

So I use virtual instruments because reasons. And write instrumental music.

So Admin, could I tell Joe: I am on a website and that my artist name?

We'll have to discuss whether we post the name of the site or not, but it's weekend now. Ask again next week.

That was pretty good for free stopmotion apps.  Also good job on the music.

I liked it. I felt bad for the scissors though. Until the end. Then I was happy :D

I also liked the music. And the talking sounds. Amazing talking sounds.

Wait, Admin, are we allowed to tell people what to search instead of giving links?

Admin: Zach, if we have time to check the link/search query, we can post it. Mr. Stickfiddler had posted his stop motion animation before, so it was easy for us to check.

I watched your video a while ago, but I greatly enjoy the music you added, it's a very nice touch and helps with the story telling.

@ Joe the Stickfiddler:

First of all, I liked The Scissor Problem better with the music.

Secondly, I watched some of your puppet movies, too, and I was wondering how you made your puppets?

Excellent job! Now I have a request for another video. You must make a tutorial explaining how to stickfiddle. I have no idea what that is, but it sounds like fun.
