Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

I recall seeing a

I recall seeing a letter in the Letterbox that asked if the magazine could run a book as a serial each month. This thread is for making suggestions as to which book.

Admin, can you ask the editors if they can use an Oz book, or else another obscure Baum text like John Dough and the Cherub or Queen Zixi of Ix? Since those texts are in the public domain, there would be no trouble acquiring the material for publication.

I just passed your request on to the editors. We appreciate suggestions from our readers. Thank you!

Joe, I disagree. No Oz books!

Gerladine McCaughrean's Casting the Gods Adrift ran in Cricket about 11 or so years ago, didn't it? It would be very nice to see it again, seeing as you've been repeating stories from ten years ago ("Beetle Blisters", "Ren and the Shadow Imps", "Star", etc.) recently.

Yes, we ran Casting the Gods Adrift years ago. I've passed your request on to the editors.

I think it should be Coraline, because it IS a book and it's awesome and creepy. I've recently rediscovered my obsession with Tim Burton movies.
