HORRIBLE PERSON ALERT.

Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

HORRIBLE PERSON ALERT.

HORRIBLE PERSON ALERT.

Yes, I am aware that I have disappeared without notice. I am also aware that it has been about six months since my disappearance. In no way was I involved in breaking up international crime rings with my awesome crew of superpowered friends who also pretend to be normal high-school people.

*ahem*

Hey. How's it going? Who's new here? Who's been gone since I left? I'll try and hit up every introduction thread I can, but I might miss a few that have been buried.

In other news, I'm going to be a sophomore. Yay. Things. I finally get to take a real art class and not just elementary school or Saturday mornings at 212, and I feel like I'm a good way towards publishing MITWITCH from November. Also I started a new thing.

In my excessive absence, I have discovered the existence of Welcome to Night Vale, a podcast run by cool people about a really insane town where nobody cares at all. And the guy who says the things (Cecil) has a really nice voice. You could fall alseep to it if you don't mind having really weird dreams.

Again, hello, goodbye, hope to see you all.

Yava: gpxa.

L is back! Pretty cool. She's a great gal. (She's genderless, yes, but I believe she is a she is a she is a she...)

Please write on my new story thread, http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/inkwell/node/120398 (which puzzles me as to why someone has not written on it already). Also, you've got a LOT of HypQuests to catch up on. Glad to have our girl back!

Yes, she is a she. It's only Theo and Ruby that I know of who are androgynous.

Hello friend let us put this lovely thread at the top.

Finally! You have returned, L! Things have been going... well. There are an enormous amount of RPs, some of which I believed you joined and then forgot about. There are a great deal of new people here and I can't remember who wasn't here six months ago and who is still hanging around, so that is that. Jess just came back, but Quintus has mysteriously dissapppeared again.

In other news, I am now a freshman and everyone asks me if I like high school. I don't know if I do. I don't have any electives this year, besides my foreign language. What new thing did you start?

Oh, and Joe the Stickfiddler, L is a girl, and as far as I know, has never claimed to be genderless.

Welcome back, L! I was wondering if you'd make your return soon. Glad you're back! True (who by the way is currently in Japan) and I have gone quite a ways in the I was Thinking thread, but if you'd like, you can start writing Errol's pieces again.

But anyways, welcome back, and good luck on your sophomore year!

You're in Japan, True? That's so awesome! How is it there?

re: time-travel thread: Have you been writing Errol's pieces for me or not? I'd be interested to see his character development :P

@ L:

We haven't written from anyone else's POVs, just Dehlia and Dora's. But it's gone quite a ways. We found it difficult to write from anyone else's characters. But yeah, definitely check it out!

Missed you, L! I've heard of the Night Vale fandom and really should start listening...something about glow clouds and dog parks. :) I haven't been on very much, after going away for a week our family took a two-week road trip to visit relatives, which threw off my internet hours. So I'm an equally horrible person.

L! Hi! It's good to see you again. :)

I'm a sophomore as well. I don't have any electives because my school does stuff differently (It's okay, because I'll be getting a much wider range of electives in junior and senior year than people at other schools do), but I'm enjoying most of my classes so far, especially dual credit U.S. history. I've only had a week of school, which means two sessions in each class because we meet for two hours twice a week (On Fridays, we don't have classes. We just spend a few hours volunteering. I help at a nature park that's nearby; I love it there and have been coming on weekends as well. My school's pretty awesome.), so it's hard to really know what the year will be like. We jumped into things pretty quickly; I have to write a paper for history this weekend, and I had to write an essay for English on Thursday as well.

What's the new thing you started?

How was your summer? Mine was good, if uneventful. I watched Star Trek: The Original Series and have gotten a bit obsessed, meaning I'm spending nearly all my spare time reading fanfiction and meta and stuff (especially meta. I love meta, and it's delightful how much there is) or watching The Next Generation (which I really need to pick up the pace on; I've been distracted by TOS-related things).

I've been listening to Welcome to Night Vale as well! It's hilarious and just so creative. I like most of the weather a lot, too, even though I'm kind of really picky when it comes to music. I've looked up a few of the artists and listened to their other stuff. Anyway, I love the whole thing.

Who's L? It seems that he/she is very popular even though he/she has been gone for, what was it, 6 months? Someone please tell me about L.

L, my dear Lena, is an amazing person. She is a fifteen year old girl (I think) who lives in Michigan. She has been here on the Chatterbox for a very long time, dispensing wisdom and anecdotes about high school life. She participates a lot in RPs, usually writing in the present tense. She was mentioned in this month's Cricket with her line "It's like the night sky! During a tornado!... In a soup can!" L's real name is Leah, her captcha's name is Yava, and her friend Ash (Ashley) used to be on here. Her older sister was here at one point as well, I believe, and went by the name Scarlet. She... never wrote on my introduction post. I think. I just went through the first five pages or so of it. That being said, she was on no side during the Lemmings War and has not joined a side on the current war. You should join my side, L. *hint hint* You should too, Lena. *hint hint* There. I hoped that summed things up.
