I am a black and white cat, with big ears. I am the friend of a goddess, and a sweet, calm creature in the day. But, beware, for at night, I transform into a vicious beast. My tail will burst into spikes, and I attack any and all humans around. Good luck escaping me... I can fly and swim.

Yes, Alicorn is Blonde Heroines Rule.  And yes, an Alicorn is a pegasus-unicorn hybrid. I read about them in Shannon Messenger's second book of her Keepers series, Keeper of the Lost Cities Exile!
