This or That?

Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

This or That?

This or That? game

So, this is a game that I love to play with my friends. I'll post a question with two different answers, and you answer your favorite of the two. Ex.: Do you prefer poetry or dialogue? You will receive different answers, depending on the answers you choose. Suppose you choose poetry. Then the next question will be: Do you prefer to read or write? If you choose dialogue, you will get: Do you prefer red or blue? And the game continues. So here's the real question for the game:

Do you prefer chocolate ice cream or strawberry ice cream?

Hope many of you play this game with me! Have fun!

@ Moss:

Quite frankly, Hades. He's not so full of himself and doesn't have to woo every single good looking girl that comes along.

@ Watermelon:

Smiles. If they're sincere, they really warm your soul.

Music videos or TV shows?

@ Watermelon

Hmm... I'll have to go with smiles :)

@ Everinne

Probably TV shows if we're talking Doctor Who... because music videos these days can be a bit strange...

I'll go again if that's all right:

The woods or the pond? (basing this off my backyard)

The woods!

Woods, to me, have always seemed...more magical. I dunno.

Dots or Floral print?

@ Moss:

Definitely woods, although some ponds are nice. You have to get them in a good place, though, or they just end up all boggy and stagnant.

@ Chocabookaholic:

Floral prints, I think, so long as they're not that frumpy.

Series novels or stand-alone books?

Series novels, so I can always have a continuation of a good book!

Penguins or puppies?

Penguins, because they are rarer.

Books or movies?

Tablet!!

Fruits or vegetables?

Both! Just fruit and no veggies wouldn't work out so marvelously, and vice versa.

Books! I feel like you knew what the majority of answers were going to be, because, after all, this is the Chatterbox. When you read like a snail like me, you get way more enjoyable time out of books (usually hours and hours over a couple weeks or so, but The Lightning Theif only took me 4 days) than movies (1-2 hours, maybe twice or three times), although I do enjoy a good movie.

Dots! (Yes, I do feel funny answering my sister's question)

@ Nina:

Fruits! They're like nature's candy.

Ocean or river?

@ Everinne

Hmmm... that's a toughie. I think I'd go with the ocean because unfortunately the Hudson is pretty pollutated... :|

Bilbo or Frodo?

submitted by Moss, age 13
(April 21, 2014 - 10:25 am)

That's way too hard, seriously. Bilbo is so delightfully humorous and stalwart and Frodo is so tragic and self-sacrificing and both so interesting! If you mean whose part in their respective stories did I enjoy more, I might say Bilbo, because of his sudden dramatic transformation from bumbling homebody to a grand adventurer. Plus I like how Tolkien didn't try to make him "heroic." He didn't slay Smaug or save anyone from a tragic demise (Peter Jackson I'm looking at you!) but he still had a great part in a great book.

To continue the Ring theme (which of course you know I LOVE): Eowyn or Arwen (and in the book or the movies)?

submitted by Everinne, age 14, The Shire
(April 21, 2014 - 7:03 pm)

Hmmm... I really like Eowyn and how she says "I am no man!" (I didn't read the books quite yet except for The Hobbit) and I like Arwen too... toughie. I'm going to go with Eowyn because even though she had a crush on Aragorn, she got over it, and her father's death, and killed the Witch King.
