This is not to scare you. This is a funny, freak accident.
My cousin has a poodle puppy, and she was smiling down at her when Poodle jumped up and got hooked on her braces!! Poodle was dangling there until they were pulled out. Then her mom tried to use a wrench to get the wire off (it was stabbing here in the face), and stuck the wire up her nose!!

Oh, don't worry, we all crack up when they tell this story . . . she is fine! (and so is poodle!)

It's the day before Thanksgiving. We're riding in the car to VA when suddenly my brother starts mumbling and grumbling in a panicked voice. My parents thought he was going to throw up so they grabbed a plastic bag. But he finally got us to understand: his tongue was stuck in his braces! We stopped at a gas station and he and my dad went in to try to get it out. But it was still stuck. We started looking for an orthodontist office, but they were all closed, and we were unfamilier with the town. So finally, we stopped at an urgent care place and they numbed his tongue and cut a TINY piece off! OUCH! Anyway, whenever anyone else is getting braces I always tell them this wonderful story. :) ;)

Funny story! I remember once I got my tongue stuck on a pole during winter one year.... I ripped it off, and I had a big hole in my tongue! hehehe, but my grandma took goooood care of me. (i was at my Grandma's house.!!!) :D:D:D

My brother's wire once popped out and got stuck in his cheek. We weren't in town, so my dad called the orthodontist. They didn't answer, so my dad left a message on their urgent care answering machine. The doctor called just a little bit later and explained how to get it out. But OUCH!
