Phobias. Does anyone know what phobias they have? I have at least five, but maybe I have more. I just didn't feel like looking down this GIGANTIC list of about 2000 phobias.

I'm really uber afraid of heights, and I don't care for computers that much, though I'm on a Lego Robotics Team. Anyhoo, there's this really cool one that's for fear of long words and it's huge...like 27 letters or something. I'll look it up later and get back to you on that...

I have OCD, which means I have phobias galore. I have a fear of vomiting and a fear of fire and sometimes a fear of heights. Other than my occasional fear of heights (hypsiphobia), I don't know what 'fear of vomiting' and 'fear of fire' are. Did you know there's a phobia of peanut butter sticking to the roof of your mouth? LOL.

Really? Wow!!! What is the peanut butter phobia called? If you can't find it, then we could always call it 'peanutbutterstickingtoroofofmouthphobia'. LOL :D

Hi, I'm afraid of going upside down, putting my head under water and also Planes.

I am slowly developing a fear of planes. I've never actually been on one, but you hear about plane crashes in the news so much, like that one in Montana. I don't think I want to fly for a while. One of the reasons is that I might get bored; they hardly allow you to bring ANYTHING on a plane anymore. I guess it's a 9/11 thing and it's to keep us safe, which is a good thing, but still... Well, I guess I'm not helping your phobia. Sorry!

Within the past year or so, I've been on several planes, and really, it's not all that bad!!  All those plane crashes are actually quite rare, ussually only occur when either a flock of birds [especially sea gulls, ducks, and geese] gets in the engines, the plane and it's engines are coated in ice [only happens in winter, but they de-ice them anyway], or [highly unlikely] there're terrorists or just plain old bad people in plane.  [That probably didn't help much, did it??.....]

And about being bored on the plane, no way!!! They let you bring on SO much stuff (just no pocket knives, manicure kits, machetes, guns, etc., which I hope you wouldn't need!!]!!!! :):) I usually bring my CD player, CDs and some audio dramas, a pad of paper, the latest Cricket issue (no, seriously, I do!!) and some other magazines, and a book.  And, I never use everything!!!!!!!  Mostly, it's fun to watch out the window!!! :):):)

Since I'm homeschooled, and my family travels alot, I go on planes quite a bit, so I can't really be scared of them.

What does homeschooling have to do with planes?

Well, homeschooling allows my family to travel on a more flexible schedule then people in schools. Since we go to some far away locations, we travel on planes quite a bit.

I have 2 phobias that I can think of:

1) Elevators (because I once got stuck in my grandmothers little elevator, but only because we knocked agaist the key and then the elevator stopped and that was when I was like 7)

2) argh!!! I forget!!!! oh what is it????........

oh, and I'm a bit claustrophobic. I've heard of this phobia that is "afraid of being afraid!" And "hippopotomonstosesquippedaliophobia" is fear of long words! I'm not making that up!!!!!!
