Advice Anonymous

Hello. I am a CBer not revealing his/her name. My CB name is not Anonymouse. I know there is a CBer called Anonymous, so I added an e to be AnonyMOUSE. This is an advice thread. Want to complain? Rant? Ask advice about a problem in your life? Here is the place. Anyone can post a problem of theirs, and anyone can offer advice. I suggest you all use an alias name for this, though it is not required. Do not try to guess who others are. This is private. I will be Anonymouse.

Example:

CBer 1: My brother is violent. He punches me a lot. I'm scared of him. What should I do?

CBer 2: You should tell your parents or a counselor. They can help you.

CBer 3: I agree with CBer 2. You might also want to tell him how you feel.

Try to make the advice sympathetic and specific. Remember, you are writing to help somebody, not to make it interesting to read.

Some Suggestions for Aliases:

-Me

-Pretender

-Person With A Problem

-A Friend

-Puppy

Here we go!

OHMYGOSH! You have a parakeet??? I have a parakeet! (Two, really.) That's AWESOME! What do you mean by "out of hand"? Is she/he molting, being loud... What? I need more info to give a proper answer.

Seriously why is there a war? Is there a war? Why are we fighting? Why do the oldies and newbies not like each other?

I'm not sure any of that is true and, if so, it's behind us now. We're all one big Chatterbox family.

I don't have a parakeet, really. I just posted that because it was in my school newspaper's advice column.

l have a problem, it's a rather common one among writers.

l get story ideas and develop them very quickly, but then l don't have the time to write them and they just sort of die on the paper.

How can l motovate myself to write and keep thia ideas alive?

(And no, l'm not using an alias. l'm not ashamed of my messed up life.)

I'm not afraid of what people think of me, either, but I love going under alias-aliases. It's fun for me. Shadow- Set of steps for you:

I. Get a typing program.

II. Set your goal WPM to maybe 10 at first, but slowly increase until you're 40 to 60 like me.

III. Get fast at typing.

IV. Also strengthen your hand and carry notepads and pencils in your pockets.

V. Write your stories down! Maybe you'll be hit with a comet of inspiration later.

Ah, well, the actually writing things down is the problem for me.

You see, when l have a story in the making, l really don't like to write it down until it's well developed.  It's been a habit of mine for ages, l never forget the idea (l have a memory like an elephant....) l like to have things roughly planned, and then start writing.

But....l neither have the time nor energy nor even peace and quiet to write.

Grrrr,.....No one leaves me alone. There is a reason why l write so late at night. I HAVE PEACE AND QUIET.  But during the day? Nope, everyone's got to annoy me, all day long. It drives me crazy.

Shadow, you're pretty much the opposite of me when it comes to writing. I think, Oh, I want to write a story! I'll do it! and then just start typing or something with pretty much no idea. I develop it as I go along. I don't know how to help you. Do you have siblings that annoy you?

Yes....l have five siblings, two are in college, but the other three are still pretty annoying.

And  l'll try just writing it all. l'll see how it goes.

So I have this boy I like... He likes me back. And everybody in the grade knows it. IMPORTANT INFO: I'm more serious and he's a goof ball ( I guess opposites DO attract). Everytime we talk somebody walks past, they comment on how good of a couple and how cute we are together. It's really annoying! And my parents say to ignore them but it's hard ( So please don't say too ignore them. It's really not possible for me)! Please help!

Ohmygosh, that is literally just like one of my friend's situation! I was just at her house and we were discussing that very issue! Now I'm thinking you might BE her! Sheesh... Well, you could just tell them to stop. That's my best advice, even though it's awful.

@Starry Soul, it doesn't matter what they think! As long as it's not CONSTANT. If it is, just wait a week or two. By then it should have died down.

I am a tomboy but my mom wants me to be girly. I told her that I don't want to wear dresses and be girly, but she makes me wear dresses and stuff anyways. What should I do?
