Just a place to consolidate asks to admins so we don't clog Inkwell and other very active places. If you know the answer to a question you can answer it!

Admins, do you know where Indigo's Hidden Lands RP went? She posted it this morning but I haven't seen it.

We haven't posted it yet. We need to know if she created the art in it. We can only post original art by the person submitting it, not copied from someplace. Then we need to check out the title. Is it associated with a singing group that has online videos? Are the characters she mentions her original creation? Or copied from another story? If she would send another question answering these questions, we may reach our decision sooner.

l understand about the original art and all, but there's never really been a problem about originality in writing on here. No one really ever out right copies someone else, so ah, why the problem with originality all of a sudden?

The art in the background was taken off google; it was under the usage right of labeled for reuse so unless someone changed the right against the creater's will or something it should be fine. I edited it for size and added the text; Air and I thought up the name based off of the RP. I don't think the characters I created (I didn't actually post them yet) are plagerizing or anything, but they may have been subconciously influenced by another author's work.

Hope that helps.

The commment was posted this morning on Inkwell without the art (which was deleted). If you submit the art again with the explanation above, then we should be able to post it.

I do know I accidentally bottomed her thread this morning and I topped it six times and it still hasn't come to the first page yet. I should actually go and do more topping now...

Hey St. Owl! :)
Sorry, I don't mean to be that irritating person- but your age is actually spelled "ReINcarnated".
Sorry again for bothering you-- and if you're spelling it differently on purpose-- the joke's on me! ;)

(The joke's on me double if I misspelled any of the words in this message)

Actually, St. Owl has explained before that she/he knows the correct spelling of reincarnated, but prefers to use recarnated.

Actually, Esthelle, St. Owl has informed us all that "reincarnated" doesn't fit into the age box and the shortest possible alternative whilst still making sense is, "recarnated." Besides, while "reincarnated" is the bringing-back-to-life of a soul, "recarnated" is a word which means the bringing-back-to-life of a BODY. So, zombies...

Thanks Admin! We were wondering that all day so thanks for the reply.

I have a question for the Admins-

What is the "reply" button on each comment for? Whenever I want to post something, I just use the "Add a new comment" button, but I've always been curious what the "reply" button does.

Try sending a comment via the reply button. I'm not sure of the difference because when I'm posting comments I don't see where they appear. But I would guess that "reply" is meant to be used when you want to reply to the specific comment in the same box. And "Add new comment" would just add another comment to the thread.

So, what happens is that if you post a new comment with the "add new comment" button, your post will go to the last page at the end, like normal. If you "reply" the post goes slightly UNDER the one you were replying too, and the more a post is replied to, the smaller the box gets.

Admin, where did my black Hermione discussion thread go? I made it yesterday in DtE, and it still hasn't shown up! Did I put anything inappropriate in it?

I remember posting it yesterday, but I can't find it today either. ?? So I don't know what happened. It's probably somewhere. Please submit it again.

Hi Admins!

So, I'm new here, and I was just wondering where you create your own thread.

Thanks!

On the first page of any section of Chatterbox (Down to Earth, Chirp at Cricket, etc.) look for the colored box near the top left. Click where it says, "Click here to talk about ____" and you'll get a form where you can start a new thread.

Hi Admins!

I have a question:

From what I have seen, this Chatter Box permits and encourages the use of free speech, as long as one is not using inappropriate language or actively hurting someone.

With this in mind, I would like to ask permission to begin a politics thread on Down To Earth?        I would like there to be a place where CBers can rationally and maturely state and debate political views and standpoints. If someone does not like having their views challenged, they would not be in any way obliged to participate.

If you do not find this idea to be realizable on CB, please tell me so. I will not create the thread until I have an affirmative from you. If I recieve a negative, I will not start the thread.

Thank you for your time! :)

Yes, some political issues are appropriate and important to young people. So we'll allow a poltics thread. However, we will only post respectful comments, even among those who disagree with each other. And some of the more mature themes may be off limits.
