Katydid here, how

Katydid here, how are y'all doing with things?

I am doing pretty good I've decided, but am BEYOND behind on my math.

Like, how is your guy's school going?

Living behind on school is tough. Online math is easy to get distracted on!

Meep!

Epicness has been discovered as well! My ONE YEAR CBER ANIVERSIARY IS THIS APRIL 1st!!

APRIL FOOLS!

IT'S ON THE THIRTEENTH (I think. Sometime around there!) My beagle might be pregnant again! I will make sure to tell you all about them this time, because they have been SOOOO CUUTTEEE the last two liters!

Im really excited for my mass band this year. Its probably the only reason I am in middle school band.  Where all the Kenai Peninsula bands play together. My city, lets call it potato, and our neighbor, Sally, are both the best bands!

I think Sally is way better, though. I really want to play with them because their teacher acknoledges the music part of it all! Not that my band teacher is bad!

It's just...er....I'm going to be honest here....I'm too good for them. They aren't bad, I'm just a lot better.

It really boring and painful to sit through quite a few of our songs!

Oh well, Cx, It'll give me patience. Although the CIA band (Its a school) is letting me and my brother join them. I'll be playing piccolo on their peices! Search up "Festival Prelude" and "Variations on a Korean Folk song." They are both GRADE FOUR! I try to practice them AT LEAST an hour! They go so fast!

It's challenging! And fun!

You guys should come join me in Alaska!

Peace, Potatos, and God bless!

Hey, my birthday is on the 14 of April, one day after your annniversary! *throws confetti*

I used to be in band, but I had to give it up because my schedule woulnd't allow that many electives. I still miss the clarinet sometimes. :(

As for joining you in Alaska, I think I stay here in Kansas, home of insane weather! Seriously, last Tuesday it was about 80 degrees Fahrenheit, sunny, and warm. Next day, it was wet, about 40 degrees and snowing! Kansas is crazy!

Hey! Our weather is weird too!

For example, it snowed! The whole winter it BARELY snowed and then! Suddenly...IT SNOWED LIKE A FOOT ON THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING?

SERIOUSLY ALASKA?

But then it was really warm, and it rained on Easter! It was pouring today, in fact, it still is! I think I even heard some thunder!!

The last few years have had hardly any winter at all!

Ooh, band! Band is fun. I'm jealous.

My school's a little different than other schools. To get in, you have to pass a test for a specific talent. (ie Creative Writing, Music, Math, Media, etc.) Unfortunately, that pretty much means you can't do that anywhere else. Only drama talent is allowed to be in the play, for example, unless it's a musical, in which case vocal and music will help out too. But it isn't like a student in Science can try out for the leading role-- or just chorus, for that matter.

There are enrichments (ie Dance Enrichment, Music Enrichment) but they aren't nearly as good as the real thing. I get that you would want someone in drama talent to play Annie, say, but I don't see why a perfectly able Art Talent student couldn't try out for, say, Pepper.

Oof. That turned into a bit of a rant.

But, as for your question, school is fine, all my averages are in the 90's, and most of my teachers are epic.

Admin, how come Katydid's allowed to say she's too good for her band, but I'm not allowed to say I'm too good for mine?

You can say that if you want to.

Then how come you took that out when I said that?

I don't remember any such comment from you, and I'm quite sure the other Admins wouldn't delete that either. Feel free to submit it again.

School? Hmm, I homeschool so I think I might also be a little behind on my band.

I go to band at a public school though, which I absolutely LOVE. I play the clarinet, and there are only 4 clarinets in the band. Unfortunately for me, I am like the best clarinet player next to all of the other clarinets, and I feel like I have to keep carrying them on my shoulders. Seriously. They all depend on me. They never even practice!

So, I know how you feel Katydid.

P.s. HAPPY (Very) EARLY CBVERSARY!!!

Oops! I meant to say I might be behind on my Math, not behind on band! Sorry if that confuses anyone.
