Thanks Bibliophile! Happy Passover to you too! I chopped every single apple for the charosets yesterday... WAY TO MUCH CHOPPING!!!! But I had a great time at the seder! How was your seder?

It was really great! Our charoset was really good, our haggadah is a bit weird -- more talking about virtues (freedom, responsibilities of freedom, birth of spring, etc.) than the story. Do you do the numbers game? One Universe, 2 people in the garden of Eden, 3 tribes of Israel, etc.? So much fun, even though I failed horribly this time. Did you have matzo ball soup? My mom made ours -- so good!

Happy Passover. I find the seders fun, but not everyone does. :( Are you guys going to be/being Kosher for Passover? I'm doing it for a couple days, but I don't think I could last a whole week.

OMG! Ookz! You just swore! Bad CAPTCHA! Mandy! Bring me the soap!

I attended 2 Seders; the first was just my siblings, me, and my father, and the second was my dad's friends and a bunch of other people. Both were very fun.

As a Christian Assemly of God, I have no idea what that is! But have a nice one!

The Passover Seder is a Jewish ritual performed by a
community or by multiple generations of a family, involving a retelling of the
story of the liberation of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt as told
in the Old Testament Book of Exodus. Seder customs include telling the story,
discussing the story, drinking four cups of wine, and eating matza (unleavened
bread), and other symbolic foods. The Seder is performed in much the same way
by Jews all over the world.

My seders were great (Kind of short, but that's what you get when you have small siblings). The first one was just my family, and then for the second night we had 24 people at our seder! Three days are down, so we're almost halfway done, people!

P:, Does anybuggy else eat kitniyot? My family does because it makes Passover so much simpler.

We're pretty religious, so we do stay kosher for Passover the whole time. We are Ashkinazi Jews, not Sephardic, so we don't eat Kitneos. Our first seder was with some friends and our second was with family. At the first seder we sat up until 11:00 singing every song we could find, including One is Hashem (G-d), Had gadya, Ke loe nah'eh, Dayenu and more. When we got to the part where you open the door for Elijah the Prophet we all screamed the words as loud as we could -- they sound so dramatic, it's all about G-d crushing the evil people and stuff. It sounds really scary when you shout it into the night -- like we're all part of some weird cult prophesizing the end of the world! It was really fun and the matza ball soup was delicious!
