Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

READ. EVERYONE.

READ. EVERYONE.

First of all, I only say any of this because I LOVE YOU GUYS.

I just saw what happened on the Evil AE War, and I am ashamed of you! Just because you are all RPing as "rude" AEs doesn't mean you should be, to put it bluntly, downright mean.

See, a little while ago I was mad because everyone copied my idea: to make a person that I could act like who was my polar opposite/insane. That was my AE, Masked Piester. She was the first true AE. BTW, the CB has deliberated and Masked Piester was definitely first, so don't try anything. A bunch of people copied me, and many of them started having about 3 AEs each.

I felt that Masked Piester had been discarded, and that the CB was in control of the AEs.

So I withdrew Masked Piester from the CB, saying she would not return.

There was backlash. I put her back in eventually (due to peer pressure), and the CB agreed that everyone having more than two AEs was TOO MUCH.

Eventually, I took a hiatus from the CB. I returned to find many new members, with all of them having AEs and many having more than two. I was hurt that no one had mentioned the "no  more than two AEs each" rule in my absence, but said nothing because everything seemed to be working well.

The crush war was even fun.

However, it is ALWAYS a bad idea to have a TWO-SIDED war. Once the CB had a "Ruler of the Chatterbox AE Contest" and it ended... badly.

So I have made a decision.

I am pulling both Baelfire and Masked Piester from the CB.

Until everyone promises to a) NEVER make another AE without first checking to see "how would this HELP the Chatterbox, not just myself" and B) NEVER START ANOTHER TWO-OR-THREE-OR-WHATEVER SIDED AE WAR, MP AND BAE ARE NOT COMING BACK.

UNDERSTAND?

Good.

I'm sorry for shouting, and I love you all.

I'm sorry, I have been interested in creating 2 AE's (Currently I have none). That's okay, right? Because I can't promise not to make them. You're just talking about if it is number 3+, right? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah, just the number 3+... I think that 2 is fine.

Two AEs and a CAPTCHA was too much for me so I killed off Russ--

WAIT WHAT? *trembles* Scylla, you killed her?

I thought I could trust you.

No, no! You don't understand.

I think I understand well enough.

No, you don't. I am the author and I created her-- just as I created you two. I just didn't mean for it to happen that way. It was too much for me to write about two AEs and a CAPTCHA...

You could've taken me instead.

I couldn't do that. You're like a sister to me... and according to Greek legend, you are.

And Russ isn't?

*sighs* I'm sorry, okay?

I've written everything about you and know everything about you because you are my characters. And I will write it so that Russ's spirit watches over you every day of your lives.

*sighs heavily* I understand, Scylla. Thank you.

I understand.

Thank you. Continuing: Hallia and Chary, despite being my own characters, have become like family to me on the CB. I couldn't imagine letting either of them go. They have not been in any AE wars ever and are very levelheaded, just as any AE of mine in the future would be. I am affirming that they would never be a danger to the CB, ever, so are they cleared?

Yeah! I love your AEs, personally, because they're very creative and not the "insane" model.

Thank you! I've made them into unique, lovable characters instead of following the typical insane AE cookiecutter. It's cool that you made the first true AE.

what's an AE?

Alter Ego, a character some people create to express other parts of their personality.

Im sorry Brookeira. I'm sorta newish, and I had no idea. I just got some Æs because everyone else had them and they looked fun. An evil Æ war sounded fun, too, only I learned that it wasn't the hard way. Thank you for your thoughtful comment, but please don't blame me for anything having to do with copying. I had no idea. And, if everyone copied you, that means they just thought you had a really good idea, and wanted to share a great experience with you. In this case, having some Æs.

I've been kinda feeling the same way...

(Oh, and I'm probably going to act dramatic, because I'm kinda sick of trying to stop acting dramatic and depressed.)

(And this is going to go WAAAAAYY off topic. But might as well not clog up Down to Earth, ey?)

(Now that I'm reading this, it kinda sounds stupid. But whatever. I already embarressed myself on here, so I think I can do more.)

(I should stop doing these parathesis thingys.)

I wanted to join the crush war, because I'm lovey dovey and wayyyy too romantic for my own good.

Anyways, there was just too many AEs. And I couldn't rp, because I knew my comment would go unnoticed. I'm not used to this many. And my AEs aren't cool, aren't special, aren't romantic in the slightest.

And then there are everyone else's AEs. Cool, unique, powerful, etc. What am I doing here? I could put some poetic sentence right here, but that just would make me stupid. Because I don't do poetry. But back to the point.

I know, I know, you guys are going to be like, 'But your AEs are the best!' 'We don't ignore your AEs!' Well, how about some proof?

(Sorry if this comes across as mean. I'm a mean person.)

You aren't mean, Danie! I completely agree. I feel that no one can set themselves apart with AEs anymore because everyone has so many... that's why I took down MP and Baelfire.

It used to be that MP and BLASTER!!!! and Danie would do something silly, and the CB would be entertained and have fun with it. Now... everyone is throwing pies, everyone is being weird, everyone is doing the exact same things we started...

Sorry about that. Just had to get it off my chest.

I'm not on here often so I'm going to be honest--

Last time I saw you (great to seee you back, by the way! ^w^) Squeak was your only "AE", per se. However, now in your post you're mentioning AEs, plural. Do you have new ones? Because if you do I haven't been on here enought to see them. XD

And me in real life-- yeah, I can be a real jerk, so I understand that.

Danie and Squeak are technically both AEs. It's hard to explain xP

Danie has been using herself, or anyway a character named Danie, as an AE as well. (I probably explained that horribly. O.o)

I'm remembering the pi/tau war. Ugh, that was not fun.

I'm quite content with my use of Shifting and Volcano, and I'm not planning to participate in the war.  Shifting and Volcano support my deision (RIGHT, GIRLS???)
Volcano: SURE WHY NOT!!!! WAIT WHAT ARE WE TALKING ABOUT??? *reads post* NOOOOOOOO MASKED DOON'T GOOOOOO!!!!

Shifting: It's rather a vulgar entertainment, wars. Starting a war for no reason is downright imbecilic. The pi/tau war was an example of a stupid war that got out of control.

Somebody: Yeah, we shouldn't have antagonized the issue to the point where it became a war. It was just a number, and though both groups still hold their opinions on which they prefer, we really had to fire up the contest to a war. Both this war, and   the AE revolution war, led to strife, unhappiness, and people pulling from the CB. I haven't had time to investigate the AE war thread thoroughly, but it just sounds like there was no reason ti start it. Fighting fo r the sake of fighting is not what the CB is all about.
We debate. Our AEs have arguments. But through it all, we need to try to remain friends. SCREAMING AT PEOPLE only aggravates the issue-- there are people who will scream back, people who get the wrong message, people who have even less motive to listen, and people who just get confused, break down and cry.
Guys... how much of the CB is still the toffee it once was? Because more and more of it seems to be turning into Fruit Roll-Ups.
