Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

Hello.So...the small toe

Hello.
So...the small toe that had just been in the doorway of Chatterbox, the toe which became a foot, seems to have somehow become a leg, and well...I think it's time to give that leg and the person attached to it a name because the leg...the leg through the doorway is getting hard for me to ignore. And if none of this makes any sense, please feel free to disregard everything I just said. (lol) It's really not that important. I'll just introduce myself.
Hello. My name is River. I guess you could say that I settled on that name because I absolutely love the sound of running water; and in many ways, a river adequately represents who I am right now and my general view of life, i.e. small bodies of water meeting up and joining other bodies of water and all moving towards and hopefully reaching a deeper ocean.
I am 16 years old and will be a junior in high school this fall. I think though I will keep "Forever" in the age field because I have sort of grown attached to it. (I have no desire to live forever though.) I will probably not post much because of time constraints, self-imposed and otherwise, and probably not at all once school starts for the same reason.
And just so you know, I have been enjoying my quiet time here on Chatterbox, limited and short as it has been. You are all such a creative, smart, colorful, passionate, and funny bunch of people -- at least online you are. You are all probably really dull-witted and boring offline. --
KIDDING! I'm just kidding! Most, if not all of you, are really very engaging and whip-smart funny. Anyway...hello. :)

Hello, River. I'm Owlgirl, and I'm in middle school. I got the toe part. It's nice to meet you. It's perfectly fine that you've been mostly a toe in the doorway, a current sliding through the CB, sometimes but not always there, tranquil and content.

Hi River! I'm Shadowmoon the, erm, *pulls slip of paper out of air* Weird! Wait, no, that's not it....*pulls second peice of paper out of air* Strange? * looks up* Who's giving me these? *pulls third piece of paper out of air* Whimsical? Ok, fine. Shadowmoon the whimsical.

Ok, my weirdness aside, it's really nice to meet you! That was my favorite introduction thread that I've read yet! (Which I guess isn't really saying a lot) I have two Æs. Saphira, a girl with blue eyes and blue hair who can turn into a dragon, and Sir Richard, a knight of Camalot who loves technology. I also have a CAPTCHA named Luna. She's a grey wolf. You couldn't really call me one of the whip-smart-funny Cbers, maybe just generally crazy. Nice to meet you!

Hello, River! I love your username. I'm Brookeira, a frost elf druid online and a huge nerd in real life.

I actually considered changing my username to River at one point, but decided not to. I'm currently the thrid-longest-lived CBer, as in I joined in earlier 2014. Ashlee, the longest, joined in 2010, and Oregano joined in either 2010 or 2011. Danie, probably my closest friend on this website, joined in late 2014.

Sorry about that. So... do you know what an AE is? Don't mean to toot my own horn, but...

(aggressively toots own horn)

I invented them!

(website collectively groans, they've heard this story before).

Ahem, sorry about that. Glad to meet you, and love your name!

Hey, I'm Bookworm, a newer CBer.

And, for the record, I had no idea that Brookeria invented AEs. What's the scoop? Do tell!

Masked Piester--

Is he here?

No, Grace. And don't interrupt. Anyway, MP was the first AE. For the story behind that, ask Brooke for more--

WHAT?!

What do you mean "what."

MP was the first AE?!

You didn't know that?

No! I mean, it was mentioned once or twice, but I didn't actually...

You didn't know that?

*sits down* (quietly) I fell in love with the first AE.

Are you okay?

The first AE fell in love with me.

Are you okay?

Mellie, stop repeating me.

Sorry! I didn't mean to.

I'm good enough? I'm just a purple-haired, gummy-bear-eating girl. Am I...special?

He wrote you that poem. He thinks you're special.

*smiles* How could I forget that poem? This doesn't change anything. I still like him for who he is. I'm just surprised right now. I'll get over it.

MP and Grace sitting in a tree...

Mellie, DON'T START.

Heehee. :)

Thanks for the warm welcome, everybuggy! It's nice to meet all of you, too!

@Shadowmoon: Cute intro. :) And just for the record, crazy and whip-smart funny are not necessarily exclusive. And yeah, I think you are whip-smart funny. I enjoyed your Tara thread immensely. (LOL)
I would send you my condolences, but since you didn't care enough about her to keep her alive, I won't. (LOL)

@Brookeira: Yes, I do know that you are the inventor of the AEs. Kudos to you! You must be so proud! They certainly do enliven the CB a bit. I have to confess though I would be a little afraid to be alone with some of them, seriously! -- Btw, I loved your recent book review on BaBs. It had me in stitches! (LOL)

@Gared: Oh my! It's probably good that I can't see you off-line because I'm not sure I would be able to take it. I'd probably explode or something! Seriously, I can't imagine you being more interesting
than you already are. So creative and full of energy! :)

@Bookworm: Yay! A newbie! This calls for a fist bump! From one sort of newbie to another: *gives Bookworm a fist bump* -- As for the birth of the AE's, Brookeria may know more of the actual details. I just know
that she was the creator of the first AE, and I think I found that out a few weeks ago(?) when there some kind of brouhaha over # of AEs.

Hi, I'm Jack-a-Nat. You've probably seen me around. But, anyways, welcome to the CB. I hope you have fun! I have three AEs: Donut- age 9, Amber- a 14-year-old version of Disney's Rapunzel, and a dog named Cheerio. I have a CAPTCHA named Pavlavla- Donut's twin (call her Pavi).

Nice to meet you, Jack-a-Nat! And thanks for the welcome! -- Yes, I have definitely seen you around. Like Gared, you have been a busy bee since you got here so it's hard not to notice. Just an fyi: If I don't participate in some of the games, it's not that I am not interested in them, just pressed for time sometimes. I do actually read other people's responses to some of them when I get a chance.
