Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

I’m leaving.

Dear Chatterboxers,

It’s been such a wonderful time here on the CB. I’ve discovered so much, grew so much, and became so much. I got so many new ideas. I improved my writing, drawing, and typing, along with many other things. I have grown in the Chatterbox. I’ve stretched to the limits. I’ve pushed. I found who I am.

And now it’s time for me to leave.

I have mentioned before that I am a Slytherin. Ambitious. Many goals. Many dreams.

And I’m finally ready to go. To chase those dreams, to pursue them. To fly.

Before I found this website, I could flutter. Now, I can soar.

It’s hard to believe that a small forum in the corner of the Internet could give me such big wings.

I’ve been so dedicated to this place. It will always be my favorite. I spent hours upon hours, writing, chatting, and soaking up time. I became one of the most active CBers.

It was worth it, but I need the time back.

I’m so sorry.

My mission to change the world started with the Chatterbox. CBers, did I do this?

Did I leave at least a little mark on this website? Compliments? The ACG?

Scylla mentioned that if I leave, she leaves. Cho said that if Scylla leaves, she leaves. The last thing I want to do is start a chain reaction.

So I’m staying a CBer. Once a CBer, always a CBer. I’ll keep to one thread, my fanfiction thread in BaB. If you want to talk to me, go there. I’ll also stay for Indigo’s contest, because I’ve already let you guys down enough and because I really want to. XD

I’ll drop by once in awhile. I’ll come back on October 9th, when my twin anniversary with Scylla is. And I’ll definitely be here in 2019.

I’m allowing myself one more week on the CB. If Cloud wants, we’ll marry 8-Piece and Hèmǐn together.

This is so hard for me.

But I have willpower.

We'll miss you! You've certainly made your mark on the CB. You've made threads, come up with ideas, and changed the CB. Fare Thee Well.

Oh Mei, we'll miss you and your art! You definitely have the spunk and will to help change the world for the better. Go chase your dreams. We will all eagerly await 2019.

@Scylla:

I'll miss you, too! I loved seeing your art! And yeah, family can leave a strong impression.  Just remember this: in the end, it is you who must choose the path to take. Sticks and stones may break our bones, but words can still sway us. Just remember to hold tight to yourself and not let the swaying knock you over.

We'll miss you both so much!

How? Why? How? NO! MEI! HOW DID I NOT FIND THIS THREAD?

IS THIS BECAUSE OF HAB!?

WHY!? MEI...

I understand.

We all need space to move on once in a while...I understand, and I hope you find many other friends. Goodbye, Slytherin Fairy Princess....

We're all going to miss you.

Yeah yeah, I know I left the Cb...what...how many months ago? But I'm in contact with Cbers through NaNo and they were talking about this.

Welp.

Bye, I guess.

I'm pretty proud of you, Mei. From what I've seen, everybody really loves you. Honestly, when I left, people were complaining! Some (Not naming names) were judging you just a little bit.

I think this might be an example of how wonderful a book can really be when you start to read it.

Once again, I'm proud. You've made a mark. Some of your compliments made me happy to be me, when sometimes I'm not.

Let's just say that even though I looked down on you as if you were a younger pupil, like a younger sibling, (Not in a bad way at all) you have grown to far surpass me.

:)

Hi.

Bye.

Just like that, I'm going again.

(I wonder how many people actually do know that I left?)

I'm sorry you are leaving. I'll miss you, but it's understandable. Good luck and may you change the world for the better.

Anyway,  you left a huge and wonderful impression on the CB. We will all miss you.

Oh, and Wingnut says chcb.

Mei, we're going to miss you so much. I would tell you not to go, but I get that you want to get on with your life. Someday I'll see you in the news as an activist, I know it! Good luck, and I'll see you in 2019!

No. N-n-n-noooooo! I come on to the CB for the first time in a week, and THIS is what I see? No! Nooo! I don't deserve this! *Bursts out into tears and spends the next hour sitting in a corner and sniffling* *has a CB existension crisis*

Mei. Oh, Mei. Why? I know why. Moreover, I understand why. Time, for me, has become such a precious commodety, that it is hard to balance pleasure with necessity. And yet, seeing you on here, I could never imagine that you, of all people, could leave. I wish I could, by some magic force, convince you to stay, that you are necessary for the CB's existance. But I know that, as the CB isn't necessary for your existance, I do not  possess that magic. I know you are determined. Once you have set foot on a certain path, no one will turn you back. And certainly not a shy, awkward girl who you've never met in person. So I'll satisfy myself with telling you just how much you've done for me in your time here. How much a determined, fearless girl I have never met in person has done for me. I have often felt as if my being here didn't matter. As if I could leave, and not one soul would sigh. I still believe it, sometimes, but you have made me feel that somone on the CB cares about my being here. You have breathed air into my hesitant wings to help me fly, if only a foot above the ground. You have, with your kindness and confidence, been an idol and an inspiration for me. And you have become an indespensable reasource of ideas for the CB. Half the threads here are made by you. You give is inspiration, ideas, and food for though. I can not imagine this place without you. When you're gone, there'll be an emptiness that will never really go away. And Scylla. You too? I've always admired you, though we've never been close, your breath-taking writing has filled me with awe. Don't give in to tauntsand peer preasure, if the CB raises you up, stay on? I shan't try to convince you, but, when you go, remember your time here. Remember how much we love you and value you. Never think that no one cared that you were here. I am amazed at everything you've done, and you being younger than me. You put me to shame. Please, remember that there is always a place for you here.

Should I follow in your footsteps? Should I, too, drift away to foreign lands, away from the CB? Would it even matter if I did? It might be better for all concerned.

Oh, Mei, Scylla. I'll miss you dreadfully.

Goodbye, then, I suppose.

what? your...

leaving?  But, you?

*small stream of tears wets screen*

I'm sorry,  its just I thought you would always be here.  But it takes real courage to do something like you have.  Real courage.

Mei-xue you are a beautiful fiery and distinct person who will never be forgotten, even when you really do leave.  I will keep up with your thing on bab and treasure every word forever.

I'll miss you.  More then words could ever dream.  *hug*

This is so touching . . .

@OtR: Farewell, Over. And thanks.

@hotairballoon: I’m sorry, too. Goodbye.

@Scylla: We’re still in contact, right? So we can still talk to each other?

Good luck on Animal Jam.

@SE: I’m flattered (not sarcasm).

@Nov: *Suffocates in Nov’s hug*

You looked up to me? Really?

*Speechless for a moment*

Adieu.

@Brooklyn: I’m moved. No really, I am. Beautifully written.

*Reads Brook’s post again*

Okay, I’m admired by too many people. *Is in too much shock*

I’ll miss you guys, too.

@Cho Chang: I won’t forget you guys, I promise.

*Does sign of respect back*

@Applejaguar:

The reference is from The Guardian’s CB story, right?

. . . You were the Guardian?!

Also, you start over from A once you reach Z.

*Waves a different white handkerchief*

@SE: I need more time. CB kinda took over my life . . . Heh heh heh. There are disadvantages to being one of the six most active.

@SydneySong: Thanks so much. And yes, I’ll stop by once in a while.

@Scylla again: Because you’re an awesome CBer who is also on of the six most active, and you’re an amazing writer and artist and one of my CB friends.

@Leafpool: Once in awhile. Yes, I know that’s vague, but that’s all I’m promising.

Oh, Mei, how did I not know about this? Is it too late for me to say goodbye? You've definitely made your mark in the CB, and you were one of the first CBers that I met, that I looked up to. We'll miss you, Mei, and we'll remember you. Always and forever.
