HELP ME!

There's something SUPER confusing, and I have to tell someone about it, so I'm going to tell you guys. Get ready for the most confusing thing in your life!

So, last Wednesday it was Back to School Night, and I saw this guy I recognised. I asked my friend (who was in the same class as me!) who he was, and she said that his name was ___ and that he was in her fifth grade class last year at Coral Street Elementary.

And today was the first day of school, and I saw that guy again. I asked my friend who he was again, because I remembered where I had seen him before, but it was kind of impossible. She said that he was ___ again. And that was SUPER confusing, because I was REALLY REALLY SURE that a guy named ___ had been in my old school, and he had been in eighth grade when I was in fifth! So he should be going into 9th grade now! But why was he in sixth grade?

And I'm really sure it was him, because I saw his handwriting and it was exactly the same! And his name was the same, he looked EXACTLY the same! I even consulted my yearbook and it was him! And now I am SO confused! Please give me some advice on what to do! I'm dying of curiousity here, and I can't find the courage to actually ask him some questions and talk to him! HELP!

Well, take advice from me! I am... Great at this stuff.

Well, no. I suck at dealing with people. But I would just ask him if he had been, ahem, held back two years in school? I have no clue.

Umm... maybe ask your friend who knows him to start a conversation with him while your standing nearby. Ask her to casually bring up schools or something. I don't know, just an idea. Or maybe the boy you knew has a younger brother who looks creepily like him? XD Probably not, but you never know...

this definitely isn't as confusing as some other things.  Well, it sounds like him. I mean, he could've suddenly been held back a grade, somehow cheated his way through two grades, got caught, then had to retake them.

Though that's more like something from a movie.

Why don't you ask around? Ask some more people to see what they know. Be nosey. Do some digging (I hadn't realized how weirdly detective-like I was until I basically found out a friend's very big secret).

Goodluck. (If you find out anything important, I suggest not to tell anyone. Secrets will backfire)

Huh! That's a weird situation. I'm really not sure how that will work out. To be honest, I would advise to not overly get in his personal buisness. If you must talk to him, maybe say that you remember him from your old school, and that he was in eigth grade then? Or, I don't know, he has a younger brother with the same exact name (okay, bad theory, Abi!).

Well, the most confusing thing is that last year, I think he was in my old school's eighth grade, but my friend''s sure he was in her old school's fifth grade, and NO ONE can be in two places at once!!!

And there's another thing that's confusing about my schools. There's this teacher called Ms. ____, but I'm SURE she's married! I mean, her daughter goes to my old school, and I've seen her husband before! She and him taught drama club there together! And the sign above her door says Ms.! It should be Mrs.! Super confusing. I have no idea what's happening with my schools.

Married women don't have to go by Mrs.

Ms. is just another term for both married and unmarried women.

Oi, that is some trouble, Alexandra! I'd have to say he was either held back 2 years (depending on the school, this IS possible), or he is just some creepy twin... Wait, do you know if this guy has an older brother? That could be the reason, too. Anyways, good luck solving this mystery!

Maybe she doesn't want people to know she's married... I think your school is haunted.

Maybe the boy has a twin...

"Ms." is a title that you use when you don't want to reveal whether you're married or not. It could go either way.
