Muse rocks!!  I especially liked the January 2008, February 2008, and the February 2009 issues. :)

Muse is, in my not-so-very-humble opinion the best magazine from Carus. Trust me, I've gotten many of them, for a long time I had subscriptions to Muse, Cobblestone, Footsteps, Caliope, Dig, Odyssey, Faces, Cricket, the whole shebang. Those Homeschool Mom instincts.....I no longer subscribe to all of them, only Muse, Cicada, and, of course, Cricket.

Muse has been my favorite since the second issue I recieved. The writing is superb, the lack of word definitions is less degrading and distracting than in the other (non literary) magazines and the overall scope is much wider and more interesting. Though Odyssey and Muse often ran similar articles, I found Muse's writing and format to be much more engaging, informative and interesting.

Sadly, recent issues of Muse have not quite reached the stratospheric levels that previous ones did, but it is still a much better magazine than others I have seen for the intended age range (another peeve, I think Muse is perfectly acceptable for all ages, not just 9-14, but I shan't grump here).

I hope you enjoy it!

Isn't Zora 17? But she's not here that much anymore, so I guess that would make you the oldest... anyway. Welcome, Fern! :)

Wendy was 17 too, but I haven't seen her in AGES!!!!!!!!!

Wasn't Wendy 16??  Or do I just remember her from a looooong time ago??  Yeah, there was a time when all the MuseBloggers got sort of mad at us or something (they said it was one-sided poltical and evolution arguments), so they left (people like Wendy, Hannah R. (wait was she a MuseBlogger??), and TMFA.  Sort of sad... :( And Laura, promise to NEVER get too old for us!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!

Woah! You're baaaaaack! I thought you had forgotten us! *cries* *brightens* BUT YOU'RE BAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!! YAY Fern! Unless you're not the Fern that was here before? But anyway, nevermind. Anyway. My book that I'm writing right now has a main character name Fern, but if you're the same person then I already told you that, heehee.
