Flute is cool! I don't play but one of my friends does. It has such a pretty sound.

I play flute and I really, really, reallly LOVE it!!! I've been playing since 4th grade, and I think I'm very good (at least compared to some of the other flutes in my school). In elementary school, I knew I was a really good player, and one of the other flute players even said I was the best in our group. I really don't want to sound like a stuck-up person who brags a lot, but I was really good. The problem is, now I'm in 7th grade, which is my first year of middle school, and I feel like I have to prove myself to the 8th graders, my band director, and the 7th grade flutes that went to different elementary schools. The band director told me he was impressed with how I was playing, and I'm really proud of myself, but I still feel like every time I mess up either the 8th graders or the band director will think I'm a bad player. I guess sometimes I'm too hard on myself.

Anyway, what I meant to say was, I love playing flute, and I guess that turned into a rant.

Also, what are some of your favorite songs to play? I really like Semper Fidelus, Elite March, The Nutcracker March, and Highlights from Harry Potter.
