LANGUAGES!I

LANGUAGES!

I am just curious... does anyone have a second language or a third language?

If so, I have a great idea!

If you know any language besides English, let's talk about random things on here but in your second language!

We would understand each other when you go on google and type in "google translate"

I speak English as my first language, Spanish as my second language, and a little bit of French as my third!

(I was born in Spain :D)

What about you guys?

I am semi-fluent in French and feebly attempting to start learning Polish. It's considerably harder than any other languages I've tried before, but as a result much more rewarding when I complete a difficult lesson or finally learn the proper pronunciation of a word.

I'm fluent in English and Russian and I'm learning French in school (level 2). HAB, Polish sounds so cool! It's a really interesting language.

My first language is English, and when I was younger I lived in South America, so I used to be fluent in Spanish too. The annoying thing is, I moved away when I was almost eight, so I forgot it and am now relearning it in school like everyone else. I really want to be fluent in French and Swahili.

Fluent in English, semi-fluent in German and Latin, and l know some Greek though l can't actually speak any.

Latin is painful and confusing, though it is kinda fun once you get the hang of it. Once you've survived Latin, all other languages suddenly seem like they're a breeze. Sadly, Latin seems to be killing me at this point. *glares at Latin*

I learned to read/ write/ speak fluently in Russian before I started learning English, but I was born in America. Technically, Russian is my first language, English my second, and I'm learning Spanish in school. Sometime in the future, I want to take on French as well.

My first language is English, but this is my second year of Russian!! In fact, we have a test on Thursday which I need to start studying for... :)

Also, this is my fourth year of French, so I think I can have a conversation pretty well by now.

It's so cool everyone on here speaks so many different languages! I had no idea... great idea, KATNISSLOVER! (Sometimes I wish my parents had just brought me up speaking French and English since they both speak French, because then I wouldn't have to learn it in school!! For example, I know this like 10 year old girl who's fluent in English and Korean!)

I'm fluent in English, and have been learning Hebrew since first grade, however I am far from fluent. It may have something to do with the fact that I had an awful teacher from third to sixth grade. Now I'm in public school and learning French, which I like a lot! I can read Hebrew well and mostly understand what I read, but I'm very bad at actually understanding what people are saying.
