Me: We all know that most of the Æs here on the CB are cheerful social people who love society. Unfortunately, some CBers have to put up with troublesome Æs who hate socializing. *looks over at Madman* My new Æ, Glenda, has decided to introduce herself by starting a class on how to make friends *winces at how corny it sounds*

why did i have to come again?? oh, right, ember. oh she's gonna get it. wait, that person is still standing there... what do i say?!
"um, so, do you like books?" i ask quietly. They don't reply for a moment and i sink farther into my hoodie. -great, briar, now you've scared them. can i please die?! or at least disappear?!- i think.

I say, "I really like books. What have you read recently?"

my spirits lift a bit and i lift my head as i answer, "well, ive been reading a lot of the batman comics. oh! and the batgirl comics! those are probably my favorite. well, the teen titans ones are really cool too." i stop, just realizing that i should probably let estella talk. "so, um, what about you?"
