SNOW DAY!!!H

SNOW DAY!!!

Here in Massachussetts it's been snowing pretty hard since around 9:00 am. We have a snow day today and I'm really happy because I got a TON of homework last night! I would've had to stay up really late last night to finish it all if there was school today. I know this storm was supposed to hit a lot of other places too, so who else is getting snow right now?

Everyone was expecting a snow day today, so if we had school it would be really disappointing. We got the call that school was cancelled when I was babysitting my neighbors, and we were in the middle of playing Twister. The phone rang but the kids didn't pay any attention to it, so I said, "I wonder if we should see who's calling?"

The boy, who's in 3rd grade, got really excited and said "Maybe school's cancelled!"

I didn't think that the school would be calling because it was about 4:00 and usually we get the call around 6:30, but by the time I said this, we were all running into the kitchen to see who was calling. Sure enough, it was the school, and we all got SUPER excited. The boy picked up the phone and we found out there wasn't any school today, and we all started jumping up and down. (Yes, even me. :)

So is it snowing where anyone else lives? Did the storm already hit you? Is it not going to snow near you at all?

P.S. The power went out while I was writing this, but it's back now.

P.P.S I don't know why I'm acting so excited about a snow day. I'm used to them because we've always had snowy winters here. I guess I'm just happy to have no school on a Tuesday.

We're in Pennsylvania, and having some snow. Mostly it was tiny ice pellets at first. We're homeschooled, so I didn't get the day off, but there is something fun about watching the snow fall!

What are your guys' favorite seasons? I'm excited for spring :D

We got a ton of snow here in Maine! Actually, it's still snowing right now. It's snowed at least a foot and a half. Or maybe it's just the drifts.

I'm homeschooled, but the good thing is that I got a day off anyway, because--okay, well every Tuesday (unless there's bad weather) me and my dad go up to a small ski mountain that's about an hour away. There's a homeschool group that meets there every year to ski. And it was awesome, because IT WAS SNOWING! ...So we had a powder day. And my older brother and his girlfriends came with us, because they were on March break. (It was also the last day of the season, so we had a potluck with tons of yummy food.)

Wow, that sounds awesome! Our snow turned into rain after a few hours, so we didn't get as much as we were supposed to. I LOVE skiing, but my family and I ski in New Hampshire and it takes a few hours to get there. We've gone every weekend except one since Christmas, but this weekend is probably going to be our last. :) Powder days are so fun, and I love skiing while it snows!

Haha, over here in Florida, we had a cold front, and it's about 67 degrees out right now.

Never seen snow in my life!

I live in WA, and it's almost close to spring.

We don't usually get much snow, I think we only get about 2-4 in., but this year, we got A BUNCH OF SNOW. I think it was over 15 in. total . . . it's been getting warmer though, so all the snow melted. The schools canceleled a bunch, and now schools are changing their schedules to go over summer.

The snow was drifting from a dusting to 4 ft. here! I'm also homeschooled so same story. I am amazed at how many homeschoolers there are on CB!

No, I live in the east coast. I live in the South Shore, but you probably have no idea where that is. In case you do, it includes Scituate, Norwell, Hingham, Marshfield, Duxbury, Plymoth, Cohasset, and some other towns.

We just got a call.... TOMORROW IS A SNOW DAY! And TODAY I HAD A SNOW DAY! I am very, very happy. Except it'll cut into April Break. Where I live, about an hour away from Rochester, we're getting the tail maybe the tail end of the storm.

There's nine and a half inches of snow on the ground! Possibly soon to be a foot!!

We have at least five inches.  (And no, we weren't hit by the storm.  Its OUR OWN, FRIGID, 15° POWDER MADE RIGHT HERE IN MI. HA) and right now we're kind a just waiting for it to melt:/ Like,  its not a bother anything.  Driving on the road's just fine.  Its just, I kinda wanna see our grass again from last November:/

There's a cold front here in Florida, and basically it is a little bit colder and very windy. It was around sixty degrees in the morning, and then it went back up to around 80-90 where I live in Florida. I think it's still winter or something, but I can't really tell, and I don't pay attention to seasons, because the plants are all blooming anyways, so it may as well be spring. But I really want a snow day, which is wishful thinking, but it might get down to 45 degrees!
