Welcome to the CB. Who here is new? Do you need some tips? Questions? It would be a good idea to read this thread before you join. If you are not a new CBer, please stick around to answer questions. 

So, are you new? Welcome! Do you have any questions? Do you need advice on how to start a thread?

Most things you need to know will be found in FAQs, but if you have any more questions, this is the place to ask them.

So, the first thing you should do when you are new is probably start a "Hi, I'm new" thread, where you can get to know people, make friends and let other CBers (chatterboxers) know you are here. You dont have to do anything too fancy, just introduce yourself, what are your hobbies ect. If I was going to start an Im new thread, I would put it in Chirp at Cricket.

What is an RP? An RP is a role playing game where everyone helps to create a story. Try reading some old threads to get more info.

What is an AE? AE stands for Alter Ago, and in the CB, we create it to broadcast different sides of our personality. I have three AEs myself. AEs always speak in seperate forms. Like this:

Hi, Im Gem

Hi,Im Sapphire!

Hi, Im Amber!

Those are the names of my three AEs. Gem is loud, rude and sarcastic. She thinks she is the boss, but she isnt, like lady bug (sssshhhh). Sapphire is shy and short tempered, and is always reading a book. Amber is sort of a bookish nerdy guy, whos chilled about pretty much everything.

What is a CAPTCHA? You know that code you have to type in in order to post something? Well, that is a CAPTCHA. We name them and laugh at thier bad spelling. Its funny when they say thier first word. My CAPTCHA is called Colin and he's a funny, crazy furball.

What is a charrie sheet? You create a charrie sheet when you make an AE, and when you join an RP. A basic charrie sheet looks like this, but you can add more if you want.

They vary, depending on the activity you are doing, but if you are stuck just use that one. 

What is a Ski Lodge? A ski lodge is a very fun game, sort of like an RP, but with only one writer. After a certain amount of people join, the writer will start by writing a story that kills off one member each time. They are being murdered by one of the CBers that has joined, but nobody knows who, even the murderer themself. The story goes like this: One day, you recieve a letter inviting you to the hotel, beach, or resort, or wherever the story is set. You journey to the place with all the other CBers. Each day, another victim is murdered by one in your number. No-one knows who, except the writer. The writer may or may not leave clues to who the murderer is, and the group try to guess it. Hard to follow? Try joining one, and youll find out.
