I posted this at 2:50 (ish) am IN California.  I was watching a video -- gaming specifically.  I was watching Markiplier play OneShot.  Whilst watching, the game was messing with his files IRL.  He had to actually go out of the game to find the answers to some of the puzzles.  

I really want to play this game now, since I wonder what effect it will have on my 10-year-old MacBook.

Well, either it'll do the same thing or you won't be able to run it because you don't have updated IOS or because it only runs on PCs. Age usually doesn't matter unless its so old that you don't have the right Java, IOS, etc.
