States! Since everyone is making threads about their home states, let's just have a place to share/talk about what state you live in. Also, for writers, if you have questions about an area, here would be a good place to ask them!
I live in Central IL. Although I'm lucky enough to live close to a small city (college town sized, I guess?) I don't really like living here. One of the reasons is because we get both extremes when it comes to temperature. The coldest day I remember experiencing was -15 degrees, it usually gets down to negatives in the winter, and in the summer, we always have at least a couple 100 degree days. Argh! A perk of living in Central IL is that I'm pretty much right in the middle of 3 big cities- Chicago, Indy, and St. Louis. So if I wanted to move to a city or go to college in one when I was older, I woulld have options, and it wouldn't be too far of a stretch.
What about you guys?

Yep, I live in the Sunshine State. I've traveled around the state quite a bit, and I live in the suburbs of a well known city in Florida.
Speaking of which, there was a mini cold front yesterday! It dipped into the 50s (in the early morning, but still)!!!!!

Haha, yeah. The weather was nice. I used to live on an island in FL, but now I live in a seaside town. XD The closest time to when I lived in a city was until I was about 4.

I live in Portland Oregon! ...So mainly the weather is rain. I know Leafpool lives in the other Portland, but no one on the CB who lives here. It feels like a good place for CBers, though.
Oh and we do have a port, multiple! We literally have like 3 giant rivers and I think they all get a port! So there!

I live in Salem Oregon! I have friends in Portland, and i love OMSI (admins, that's the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry).

Richmond, Virginia! It's a pretty cool place. I live on the outskirts, in one of the counties around Richmond that count themselves as part of it. There's a lot of history and cool stores and architecture. Also, it's where Annabeth is from! However Rick Rioridan has clearly never been here, or he'd know that there isn't any Spanish moss and that the houses in the city do not look as if they were pulled straight out of Gone With the Wind. The houses on Monument Avenue (where Luke and Thalia meet Annabeth) are generally pretty old, tall, and skinny, with a lot of columns and fancy stuff on them.

Brooklyn, NY. Right next to New York City. I guess Brooklyn is considered urban, but it's not like Manhattan.
