Less than two

Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

Less than two

Less than two months ago, I got a new kitten.

Her name was Casey.

She made me laugh at her antics.

And now her leaving has makes me sob.

This morning, I awoke to find her...nowhere.

I called her name, over and over.

In the woods, I saw her tracks.

She was out exploring.

Right next to hers, were larger ones.

A Wild Cat.

She was carried off.

Eaten.

Dead.

My little kitten.

No more.

Never will I hold her.

Never will I pet her.

Never will I play with her.

All because she was curious.

Curiousity killed the cat.

I've never understood that.

Until now.

Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!  It's so sad that pets die.  Last year, my 6-month-old kitten died of unknown reasons in his sleep.  I know how that feels.  I'm sorry that you lost your pet.

Oh, no. I'm so, so sorry. As often as I'm annoyed by my puppy, I couldn't imagine losing him. And I can't imagine what it's like for you. Again, I'm really sorry.

I am so sorry. I know exactly how you feel, I have experienced a couple losses as well. Don’t worry, you will get through this. If it helps, take a couple days off of school to recover if you can.

sorry for your loss,

Oh, that's so terribly sad! I know it isn't much, but I'm so sorry. Really. It's so, so hard losing a loved pet. I know how you feel. I've lost many pets. I am really sorry that this happened and I wish there was something I could do. They're a part of your family even if they're not human. But remember the good times you had with your kitten, and maybe, in time (and if it's alright with your family of course) you could get another kitten, not as a replacement, but as a comfort. *hugs* <3 I'll be praying for you, friend.

Oh gosh, I'm so sorry. I can't imagine what it would be like if either of my cats died, and I don't want to. I hope you feel better and find a way to accept it eventually. But I understand, to some extent.

I'm so sorry. I wish I could bring your kitten back. I almost lost my dog to a rattlesnake once. I was really scared, and I know just how you feel. I'm so sorry.

Oh no. I'm so sorry. May her spirit rest with the cat deity/deities in cat heaven, which I picture as an impossibly large and intricate cat castle with lots of catnip, cat grass and fish. Also possibly yarn and laser pointer dots.

I know it dosn't help much, but i'm sorry for your loss.

You didn't really loss her, her spirite walks beside you,

And she'll always be in your heart..

What i'm trying to say is you didn't loss her, not really.

You may never see her again, but she watching over you....
