i was thinking, we have CBversarys, but we don't have an official CB holiday. my idea was: CBday, CBday general traditions: cake, pie, pie war, partys, AE chat threads, etc.
suggestions?

I was just thinking about this the other day. The actual anniversary of the CB is June 18, and it will be ten years old in 2018. Maybe that should be the day.
Where did you get June 18? I thought CB first went live in August 2008, although we were testing it earlier in the year. I'll see if our webmaster knows for sure.

Oh, thanks. We'll see if our webmaster has any info. But June 18 sounds like a nice date for an anniversary.

Should there be certain festivities that commence on the 18th? (I mean like how all the old CBers come back on February 14th, 2018, and people make threads for their CBversaries)

Great idea, Catsclaw! I really like the idea of celebrating the CB's anniversary. Maybe on the 18th or the week of the 18th we could set up different celebratory threads (like 'stations') for the celebration--a CBversary SI, a CB history thread, maybe some kind of large RP or solo write (?), a thread for the arts represented on Cricket, etc.

Maybe we could make a general party thread (that's just the official partying spot), then make other SI/SW/RP/festivities etc. on other various threads. Just an idea. Luckily July 18 is in the summer, so we won't have school then. I can't wait!!!!

I like Jwyn's idea: A general party thread, and then perhaps we can delegate the making of other official threads: an SI, a RP, a ski lodge, a ball, an AE party?
