I’m planning to make beads and just string them on burgundy string- I can’t make friendship bracelets, but J consider myself pretty good at sculpting modeling clay.

Ok, I'm just going to tell you lot an EXTREMELY easy, multicolored bracelet pattern:

1. Choose your colors and cut an arm's length of string (Do not use your wingspan because that can get wasteful. You don't need five feet of string.) 

2. Fold all the string in half and tie a knot, leaving a small loop at the top

3. Secure the loop. You can clip it to a clipboard, tape it to a table, or even tie it to something sturdy. (This step is not absolutely necessary, but will make the bracelet a lot easier to create.)

4. Take a single thread and hold it to the left

5. Fold it across the other strands so that it looks like the number 4

6. Make the thread go under the others and through the point of the 4

7. Pull the loop tight 

8. Keep going! Change colors when you feel like the stripe is long enough.

You can use a lot of different colors this way and it's really easy! Of course, we don't have to use this pattern. It's just the simplest one I know so I decided to share it! :) (And if any of the instructions don't make any sense, please tell me to clarify.)

So, I am totally on board with this idea, it sounds awesome. But I have a huge pack of friendship bracelet string and none of the colors really match that burgundy ish thing on the edge of the CB. What colors do you think would be close enough? 

I love this idea! However, I don't have any friendship string, as much as I love being crafty and making things like that. Problem solved, though, because I can use some of my yarn! ;D

I don't think the bracelets have to be all one style or colour. Beads, charms, wool, string. Be creative! Zues, you could use red, blue, yellow, olive, anything. Also, Admins, feel free to participate because you are definitely 100% part of the gang. The most important part, actually.

Oh, nice! I wonder if I could make a bordered rag rug pattern, or something like that? The object being to make it look like a page of the CB. So black, ecru, and dark red/mahogany. More ecru than black... How would the border work? I'll figure it out.

I make friendship bracelets sometimes, usually complicated ones, but lately I haven't been doing that. This should be fun.
