I was in a 4th of July parade today! I volunteer at my town's library, so I got to walk behind our library's bookmobile and throw candy! Actually, it was kind of wet and rainy, so we had to come up and give kids the candy to make sure it didn't land in the puddles on the side of the street. Even though the weather wasn't that great, it was something I'd do again! :) Has anyone else been in a parade before? This was my first time, except for once a long time ago when I was on a float for my preschool and got to wear little smily-face bug antenae.

Cool, Brynne! I've never been in a parade, but maybe I will be someday.

That sounds fun! There's a parade that starts on our block where I live, so we always go out and mingle with neighbors and stuff. I've never actually been in the parade before. The weather sounds like what it was last year!

our weather for the forth was ok, it was a little rainy at first, but got sunny. Oh, and I've been on stage once,a while ago, after a st. Patrick's day parade. It was for irish dance, a different school

What's really strange, is that all three parades i've been to (and in) this year have been on really yucky days.

Ohhh that sounds fun!!! :):):) I'm glad you had a good time!!! I was in [my town's name]'s Memorial Day parade, with my youth group (haha, why'd I do the [my town's name] thingy?? I think that everybuggy here knows where I live...)!! :):) The lazy kids rode the float (more like a trailer on a SUV that had these two, huge, handmade flag things), while C. (yes, the legendary C. that I've mentioned before), my friend Izzie (I think I've mentioned her, too!), and I rode our beautifully decorated bikes. :):);) There's actually a law (in Maine, at least ((oh no! I said where I live!!)) ), that you can't really throw out the candy, because kids could run onto the street and get hit by a car, so we had the youth leaders run up and down the streets handing out the candy. We packaged over 500 bags of candy, and used them all up waay before the end of the parade!!! I had no idea Gor - errr, my town had so many kids (ages 10 and under)!!! :D It was fun, though!! :):)

I was in my town's Memorial Day parade when I was in Kindergarten. Every year one girl and one boy are chosen to be in it from Kindergarten, and this boy named Nick and  me were chosen. It was such an honor to me back then, and all I remember is sitting on a really hot green wagon and putting a wreath on a grave. Presently my 21 year old brother is pushing my cat Pipkin along on his butt (Pipkin's butt)on the carpeted floor and Pipkin is reaching out and clinging to anything that he passes.

I've been in a Canada day Parade. I was representing Girl Guides of Canada. All we did was ride on scooters and bikes and smile and wave.

Cool!!!!!!!!!!!! I've never been in a parade before, but I think that it would be a lot of fun! I do watch our local parade, and it's quite good, actually.
