My 13 year

Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

My 13 year

My 13 year old golden retreiver isn't doing so well.

His name is Bobo.

He has been there for me since day 1, literally.

It's hard to imagine my life without him.

I don't want to imagine it.

He can't walk.

He won't eat.

All he wants to do is sleep and drink water.

He can't even go to the bathroom.

Can we all please pray for him?

P.S,I got a new hamster !   ~click~

Yes we will, for him and for you. Pets are family and it is so hard to lose them or see them be sick. Appreciate the time you have left with Bobo. It sounds like you have had many, many wonderful years together to remember him by when he is gone.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I had to deal with the loss of a labrador that was a friend to me once too.

I'll be praying for you.

He was put down today....

When I got home from school,my dad told me he was put down an hour ago.

We're so sorry for your loss, BR. At this point, it was the best thing for him. Losing a pet is very sad, but as time goes on you'll be able to remember the good times you had together and smile about them.

Oh no. I am so very sorry, Baby Rabbit. I know how hard it can be losing a pet. I have a fourteen-year-old yellow lab, and though she still hangs in there, she has trouble walking and has a lot of pain. It always breaks my heart to see animals like that. It sounds like Bobo lived a long and happy life, however, and now he's not in pain anymore. I will pray for you and your family. *hugs*

P.S. It's great that you got a hamster though! Often, when you lose a pet, if you have another one it can make it easier.

Awww, I will be praying, BabyRabbit. My mom lost her yellow lab, Scout, that she'd had since before she and my dad were married when I was about six. I was too little to really get it, but I know how I'd feel if I lost my two-year-old fur baby we have now. But now Bobo's in a better place, and in time, the ache from the loss won't be as bad. And don't forget- the happy memories you have of your pet will never fade.

Azkiel says gave- her fourth real word! What did you give, anyway, you crazy fox?

Oh.

Thirteen is an old dog.

I'm sure you'll be hearing that a lot.

Alas for those who pass,

Golden as the sun,

Golden as our memories.

I'm sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry. I lost a cat a few years ago, too... Named Floyd. After the gangster, because we always called him 'pretty boy'. Still getting over it. I know how hard it is... I'm really sorry. My thoughts stay with Bobo.
